      Yeah it was so obvious they were scraping the barrel to find something nice to say. Although I think Andrew actually did like it, at least a bit, since his face basically matched what he was saying. But Steven… it was so obvious he hated it I was just like… bro… we can tell, man. Just admit it.

    OMG I’VE BEEN TO UTOPIA BAGELS! I’ve even had that everything bagels with the nova, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers! They are so damn good! I’ve had the Jerusalem Bagel from Bar Bolonat, as well. I like it a lot; it’s delicious. But nothing beats a classic everything bagel with lox and cream cheese.

    I was gonna crap on the $1000 bagel, but it’s for charity. But Steven… your face for that bagel… if you don’t like it, you can say that you don’t like it. It’s okay… we won’t be mad at you. Don’t force positivity when it’s false…

      See to me that’s a problem. It does seem as if, in most of these videos, they really do genuinely enjoy everything they try, but in this one, the difference between Steven’s face and what he said was so so so stark… like… impossible to miss stark. I could tell he was trying not to make a face and he didn’t really go back for more.

      I feel like they should be a bit more honest if they didn’t like something. It’s perfectly possible to not like something and still be nice/complimentary about it while being honest (“that’s not really for me, to be honest, but I can see how this would be appealing to others”… as an example). But hey… that’s just me…

      Nathan Hevenstone Yeah, I wish we could get genuine reactions, it really is just so much more fun to watch then it being staged. However, these restaurants might even be paying Buzzfeed for them to out them on this show, I mean, its really great publicity, The video got on trending as soon as it was released. But hopefully in the future we can see them enjoying themselves 😀

      Yeah you do have a point. That’s probably how Buzzfeed pays for the really expensive ones, now… by telling the restaurants that they’ll use it as advertisements.

      On the flipside, I have to admit that I’d like to see a super expensive one turn out to be a worth it winner. I think the wagyu steak was the only Worth It winner so far, and I’m not even completely sure about that (it’d be my worth it winner because authentic Japanese A5 Miyazaki Wagyu is 100% worth it). They really need to do one where the expensive one is the worth it winner…

    jerusalem bagel! as an israeli jerusalem bagel was part of my childhood. visiting jerusalem was never complete without buying a few bagels at the street (super cheap LOL) and eat this while walking around and enjoy the city. i love zaatar with everything! especially with baked potatos!

      That seriously annoyed me, to be honest. They didn’t use any special ingredients for the bagel… I’m not even sure they made that bagel in house! I’d be understanding if they found like a rare kind of flour to make the bagel from, made it in house, and so on, and then made their own specialty cream cheese… then you get the truffle and jam and gold.

      But that bagel looked like it came out of a Lender’s bag, to be honest. Even with the truffle and gold, that was not worth $1000…

      It’s really good, but it’s the olive oil and zaatar that really kick it up a notch. I definitely recommend it. In fact, I highly recommend that one and the Utopia Bagels one. Both are just incredible.

      Nathan Hevenstone yeah that olive oil and zaatar are what make it looks so amazing, especially since it isn’t a spice I’ve had before, so I’d be really interested to try it.
