Props to both guys. Canelo got a clear win and GGG honestly lost little to no stock, being in there against a prime Canelo at 40. Him being in there at that age, coming up in weight and never getting hurt says a lot about his toughness when you know Canelo has the power to take out elite guys at 168 in their prime.

G chin moved from 5th place all time ring magazine, to top 3 chin P4P.
40 yrs old,400 fights, 36 rounds of canelo, and never hurt by a punch to his jaw or head.

      Canelo the GOAT 🐐

Dont cry skill matters conelo lost with mayweathers he is 50

    • David Cadena says:

@Paulo Gotera how can you say he’s washed up when the only person to beat him is Canelo, twice. What does it say about the fighters in the division who can’t beat him. Again, GGG only losses(2) are to Canelo. And GGG has never been knocked down by anyone even by Canelo. You’re judging GGG by age, not by performance or results. Even in losing to Canelo, he fought well. And two of the three fights were very close. Many say that the first fight, GGG won. When a lesser fighter beats him, then you can say GGG is washed up.

Age is not just a number. GGG was a monster in his prime. Thank you guys for the trilogy!!

  3. E N says:

Over 390 fights and Golovkin has never been knocked down let alone knocked out. He just keeps going forward. Nightmare.

@TheHumbuckerboy Canelo won all 3 fights handily. Stop kidding yourself.

    • Mr Farricker says:

@Theplug88 first fight was GGG bossing and controlling the entire fight and landing the cleaner and better shots in the process.

Second fight Canelo was much better and it was a lot closer but still, GGG done the better work all round.

Third fight was pointless, and was only made so he had one clear win over a 40 year old GGG

    • Theplug88 says:

@Mr Farricker nah it’s just Canelo has a lot of haters I seen a few comments people saying Canelo lost the third fight I thought Canelo won all three he out boxed ggg 1st fight and 2nd fight beat him at his own game Mexican style and spanked him in the 3rd

    • Theplug88 says:

@Caimin Laws Canelo is just better then ggg. Ggg could never beat Canelo facts

    • Theplug88 says:

@Stephen Butler your still crying ggg never won stop crying

Just rewatched the full fight. It was expected considering GGG’s age and inactivity. Canelo didn’t dominate GGG like how he dominated other 168 fighters, Smith, Caleb and BJS. Canelo managed to outworked him in the first half of the fight and GGG came back strong in the last few rounds. Fair performance for a 40 year old.

  5. JW G says:

First time I watched a fight wanting both warriors to win. In a way, they both did… the end of the fight was pure class. Love both of these guys!

  6. Jake Moeller says:

So much respect to both of these men. Even in my younger years this is not something that I would have ever been able to do.

    • Fran F says:

” this is not something that I would have ever been able to do” Do what? Fighting at world championship level? No, we can safely assume that you, I nor anybody else in the comment section would have been able to…

    • Randall Searcy says:

It’s a lot of discipline, hard work

  7. Fredo says:

As a fan of both these guys and a mega-fan of the sport, this couldn’t have gone any better. Great fight, great sportsmanship, two legends. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  8. alejandro arellano says:

What a great trilogy, wish this fight happened sooner, as a fan of GGG it was clear he’s not the same as he was in his prime. But he’ll always be a true champion

  9. Bruce Aung says:

The toughness of GGG is on a whole different level. The result is as pretty much expected given the age of GGG (40) and the bad intention of Canelo coming off a loss.

  10. J says:

The embrace and smile from GGG. Legend
