I love how she deflects the questions that try to villinize Serena. True class. I sincerely ADORE this black woman who represents Japan!

  2. sakshmik says:

I have never seen such a humble professional tennis player. I love her personality.

    • About Me says:

      1. Naomi won fairly and convincingly. She had already beaten Williams at Indian Wells ’18.
      2. Umpire enforced penalties according to rules, not his own emotions.
      3. Williams should have fought back with her court play instead of manipulating others into thinking she is the poor victim. Generating hatred and other negative emotions.
      4. USTA and crowd owes Naomi an apology for their classless actions

  3. Austin Jung says:

“Have you ever had a drink?”
    “No, I’m 20!”
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  4. Ramon Galvez says:

  5. Sam T. says:

    what a BOSS!
    my new favorite player!

even before all of Serena’s drama, she was blowing her off the court! her only fault (for lack of a better word) was losing her serve once, in a hard-fought game, and she broke back the very next game! and she’s got nerves of steel!

what a great match she played…
she has such great game, and I’m excited to see where her career goes from here!

  6. Islandboytb says:

I love how down to earth and chill this multi-millionaire young lady is. This is who we as a culture need to look up to, not the Kardashians.

  7. American Paisa says:

    Never ever apologize for winning!

  8. lD says:

I hope the japanese Nation and people will give her an amazing reception when she returns, just what this disgraceful american crowd and opponent couldn’t do. Naomi, we’re really proud of you.

  9. John Smith says:

This is the type of role model girls should look up to. Not cardi b or Nicki minaj.

  10. Tara says:

    • RYU HADUKEN says:

I DONT CARE ITS A WIN WIN FOR ME THEY ARE BOTH BLACK WOMEN, THE SEED IS FROM THE FATHER THERE FOR SHE IS BLACK WOMEN, WHITE MAN LAW IS IF YOU HAVE BLACK BLOOD IN YOU, YOU ARE BLACK, SO ITS A WIN WIN, BLACK WOMEN STILL AT THE TOP AND THERE IS NO OTHER ETHNICITY WHO WILL BEAT THEM..

NOW SHUT UP AND GET OVER IT.

THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE 3 MILLION IS NOT GOOD SHOULD BEAT LEAST 10 MILLION.

    • Ruben Chavez says:

Nhi Pj Nah, she’s never been to Africa and she was (probably) born and raised in Japan and it’s her main language

    • Ruben Chavez says:

RYU HADUKEN You make no God damn sense… What type of stupid law says that you’re black if 1 of your parents is…? You’re a racist and just so you know people are judge based on their character not their skin color. Did you finished school…?

    • Three60Crusader says:

You’re Irish without taste I see

  12. JR M says:

Naomi, Naomi.. You keep getting me smile with your humility and humour. All the best, you are the best thing that happened in tennis World in many years.

  13. manansis86 says:

She swerved all the bait questions. Very smart girl.

  14. Karel Zich says:

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a nicer and a humbler interview with a tennis player, especially after winning a slam..!!! strongly reccomended to watch the whole thing. her reaction to the Osaka “joke” made me laugh out loud and the reaction to hugging Serena at the net and feeling like a little kid again seriously made me cry too. and the biggest reward = seeing her sister… no words, just pure class and what a role model already. so rare to see that in sports nowadays.

    • lisalafayette says:

Wow……everything you stated covers it all for me. Love this young lady….so refreshing to see this type of personality in such an amazingly talented young athlete.

    • tatonkaa says:

Dude you are a pussy. Gayest shit I’ve read today and I live in San Francisco.

    • James Villalon says:

tatonkaa your comment is soo wrong yet soooo damn funny!!! 😂😂

    • Karel Zich says:

@tatonka: aww, so sorry I don’t fit in your whatever notion 😉 actually, I’m gay, your gaydar is pretty spot on!

    • tatonkaa says:

I just don’t see how a woman throwing a childish temper tantrum can inspire someone so much that they break into tears. She displayed despicable behavior that bordered on histrionics. The hug made no sense. I bet deep down Naomi resents her for her behavior, and does not think the judge made the wrong decision. Serena threw a verbal temper tantrum, smashed a racket on the ground in frustration and demanded a apology, while there were games to still play, over the intercom by the judge for what she insisted was not her cheating? You’re a tennis official and coaching is not allowed. Sometimes adjustments need to be made. Sometimes you need to get closer or further to the net. A thumbs up is pointing, like it or not. Can’t you see how the official might interpret that as a signal so maybe get closer or further away on the net on a serve? And the judge is suppose to take her for her word, mid-game, that she is not a cheater because she has a daughter. Then accuses him of being misogynistic and demands an apology over the speaker again. Are you kidding me? This is Heroism? fuck that. Sorry btw, i wanst trying to rip on you for being gay. I cry watching dog rescue videos all the time so I’m a puss too.

  15. Sean PM says:

Wow. Sincere and has no idea how cool she is. Great champ!

  16. cridecar says:

Not only a Champion, a CLASSY champion. You get my respect Naomi!!

  17. Iconoclasticnation says:

She’s beautiful- inside and out. 😍

  18. Hydreus says:

Watching the award ceremony reminds me why I hate American sports spectators sometimes. Disagree with the umpires decisions if you wish but Naomi spent years training all for this moment and the booing was disrespectful. Much respect for how humble she is and how maturely she handled the situation

    • Roma12 says:

News bulletin. Many of those who attend the US OPEN are not Americans. Even for those that are, sorry they don’t act like other countries’ fans like those that fight all the time, throw things at players, use racists chants, are violent, etc. I’ll take American spectators any time.

    • Ray says:

That’s why the rest of the world think they are ignorant.

    • Roma12 says:

+Ray You’re the only ignorant one here, stereotyping an entire country. By the way, many of those going to the Open are tourists and out of towners. Not all American. But you wouldn’t know that because you’re ignorant.

    • Three60Crusader says:

Ray good thing Americans don’t care what other less accomplished nations think lol

  19. badger4382 says:

Shame on this crowd and the way I feel now as an American…  I DO FEEL PROFOUNDLY ASHAMED !!!  Sweet and amazing Naomi, you were the brightest star in the sky yesterday and don’t you ever forget it !!!For this sweet Naomi, wining the US Open was not a moment to rejoice, but a moment to feel ashamed for wining thanks to the crowd and for what this Katherine Adams said during the ceremony.  Shame on the crowd, shame to all of us Americans for this disgusting behavior.  SHAME… SHAME… SHAME !!!  Bravo, Naomi and you are in our hearts…!  WE ALL LOVE YOU !

  20. James Newman says:

I am sooo glad that this young woman has the ability to NOT fall into the media trap of wanting to only talk about the F-ing DRAMA… Ask her about how happy she is, how hard she worked to get there….
