  3. Stefan Gligorijevic says:

Viruses on Linux?Altough they exist, they have problems spreading due to
herd-immunity, small number of us and the fact that a Linux user knows how
    to defend himself

  4. Col. Birger Kristian Eriksen says:

Common Sense 2016 is the best anti virus there is, everyone should try it
    out, and it’s free.

You didn’t mention how the iloveyou virus wasn’t too bad originally, and
only replaced mp3s and other files that weren’t necessary. It wasn’t until
people changed the simple code to replace .exe and .cmd files that it began
to really destroy computers. If I’m wrong then whatever but I think that’s
    what happened.

Uhhh I remember all the stupid pop ups from the early 2000’s that made the
internet speed go from crappy to non existent.

  13. Gary King says:

Cool – I wrote a ‘man in the browser’ virus back in 1987, but things were a
lot less sophisticated back then. We used BBC model B’s as terminal
emulators on the Dec PDP/11, so my programme just mimicked the DEC logon
screen, wrote the username & password to a central file, logged onto the
DEC in the background and then stopped. I just called it my ‘password
nicking programme’. I may’ve got into a bit of trouble in college…

  14. subh1 says:

It’s a real shame that you didn’t mention the ransomware going around in
this decade… A lost opportunity to do more to keep people of this decade
    informed and safe!
