I find it hilarious how MatPat, usually trying to be neutral and/or encouraging party, absolutely draws a line at Logan Paul.
A theory needn’t be neutral, nor encouraging. A theory must aid uncovering truth.
I found the theorist to be sensible.
@Dominic Astaroth 😂🤦 no sugar, sure. Artificial sweeteners aren’t bad, yeah 🤦. It’s like people drinking “thinning teas” but not exercising and still eating boatloads and asking why they’re not slimming down 🤦
Logan paul is one of those people who tries to pull off get rich quick schemes.
The moment Steph said she didn’t like it, my immediate thought was Stevia, or something similar as an artificial sweetener. This is likely where all the potassium comes from.
@dragonrings14 the coconut water is what gives it the taste people like, Splenda is not in it that would make it taste like power ade lol
@C Dub probably none lol its still a micro dose… theres kids that eat banana every day and no issues
Also coconut water
On the subject of Potassium, how much of this prime drink do children need to consume before being at risk of Hyperkalemia?
steph curry?
I just have to say that this is my favorite Theory Channel script in the last while. The others have been great, but the build up and payoff that this script pushed was just fantastic. It may also have a lot to do with the bias shown throughout the video, making it a lot more emotionally engaging. Good stuff all around.
Same this kept me engaged and after I paused it I went back to watch the rest to know the end. Fav episode so far ❤❤
I concur
Congratulations, you are the first person to have the title of a YouTube video script critic. Use it wisely.
One thing I noticed is that Prime has stevia for natural sweeteners, which might explain why it is SO sweet.
prime has splenda… not stevia
Steph is on record saying she doesn’t like Stevia or some other artificial sweetener. Which probably explains why she didn’t like Prime.
stevia has an aftertaste,,,, primes after taste is from niacin (one of the main vitamins) and antioxidants such as berries are naturally sweet
false
Also, I think it would have been VERY interesting to go into bio-availability or how much of the electrolytes and other content in the drink are digested and integrated into your body.
Because if you deliver mass sodium but in a way that your body cannot digest well it’s the same as not having any in your drink.
It would be interesting to see it with a full breakdown of what’s in it. Logan wants to treat carbs like they’re a bad thing, but when you’re exerting effort, those quick available carbohydrates can help.
@DMark Gatorade has been doing this testing for decades.
@Madeline Ariah he did said other content so including the potassium and other things too
Any time salt is added to water, it breaks down into its sodium and chloride ions (basic chemistry here). As long as the mixture isn’t supersaturated, there is no difficulty for those ions to enter your body and do what they do.
Tom’s absolute shame at picking Prime was hilarious. I wasn’t expecting a Food Theory today so was delighted to see it!
May I suggest a coffee vs. tea Food Theory episode?
I was seriously not expecting them to go THAT hard on testing different drinks LMAO
@EvanTheDrummer11 💀
Welcome to the meta-theory verse. Enjoy.
Anything to not admit Logan is right
This is what the theorists do
Oohh you underestimate them lmao
The fact he could even get prime in a first place IN STORES is impressive alone. Most of the time dropshippers wait before the store open and then storm in to take all of the prime, forcing people to buy prime thats like 40 dollars.
@mad true i found it nearly everytime i go to supermarkets
@SovietNationalism well when it is in shops here it’s sold out within minutes so if we do want it, we normaly have to pay extremely high prices or not have it at all
“forcing” nobody’s being forced to buy prime for $40, you just think you need it 🤣
40 on trash lol.
Our local walmart in michigan always has prime fully stocked and I have never seen it empty.
Shoutout to the editors
Abolutly loved the graphic design in this episode. The backgrounds, the data displays, the effects, all of it
I was surprised that he didn’t bring up the amount of artificial sugars in Prime. Based on how sweet he ranked it, it must be loaded with aspertame.
@Madeline AriahYes, let’s undersell the chemical that can, in large amounts, lead to an incurable genetic illness.
Unless you have sensitivity to phenylalanine, it generally doesn’t make a difference to most people.
