I really love how these indie showcases allow the creators and developers to speak about their games. I hope that VideoGameDonkey guy does well!
@Luke Groundrunnerit’s very strand like
fr
@mamma understandable
@Soul Slur weird considering he hates metroidvanias
Better than Knack 2!? Impossible!
Maybe the real Silksong was the friends we made along the way
You can all go home now.
Don’t worry about me, I’m totally not the definition of dying inside.
@Chang Siah Lim 🤡
@airkid88 it wasn’t revealed there tf you on about
Silksong was the journey all along, not the game
dunkey > silksong
So nice to see big creators like Dunkey giving attention to the small guys like Nintendo, good on him!
@Optical Salt PointCrow is safe for men, Nintendo is just being stupid in this one.
Smash community on the other half don’t deserve anything from anyone comsidering how much of damage they did to their own competitive structure.
@Optical Salt You never gave an example of high quality games with an online infrastructure where the developer listens to the fans, so I picked on that attempted it and failed.
That and I’m aware I’m in the minority here, people are emotionally motivated so they’re not thinking logically. They want to be right yet they don’t know all the details.
@Oliver Grant this still doesn’t negate Nintendo being obnoxious, I’m not even going to give an actual constructive response to this 💀 never did I ever mention multiverses, I’m taking about actual quality games, refer to future history archeologists reply for how to actually be helpful, you are a minority in the comments fighting over something almost nobody agrees with you on
@Future History Archaeologists thank you for having an actual helpful reply instead of being obnoxious, we need more people like you
Very impressive how the developers of Animal Well were able to make it with a blindfold on!
DUNKEY IS THE PUBLISHER
@bluelfsuma Oh.
@It Approaches I think they mean that they thought that OP thought the game looked bad.
@Anika B You think Animal Well looks bad? Disagree. You have no creative vision is all.
But did you wishlist it on Steam before you got deranked in Rivals of Aether?
Indie trailers were so bittersweet during the Wii U era. You didn’t really know if the game was going to happen or not. So glad the Switch is popular
@販売機 This is silly, i t’s absolutely because Wii U wasn’t popular. At the time Wii U was the only console that wasn’t x86, so developing for PC, PS4 and Xbone simultaneously was trivial, however Wii U had its own architecture and a port required significant time and resource investment, which was a huge gamble for small dev studios who might not see a return on that investment. 3ds also had unique architecture yet got more indie ports and originals by orders of magnitude, which wouldn’t be the case if Nintendo were as hostile as you claim.
Nintendo, like Sony at the time were indifferent to indie games. MS was the only big indie champion. Nintendo was closed minded and stubborn toward allowing mature rated titles on their platform, and has since eased up on that, but that never affected the majority of indies, especially then.
I think it’s sad that a console has to be “popular” for people to buy it and the indie games released on it. Wii U was awesome, but people are trend chasers. It’s sad.
@ZX Hub
honestly same, but still super hyped for yiik i.v
@販売機 that can be said for a lot of indie games but I was talking about games that either had Wii U as a Kickstarter option or otherwise had a trailer with the intention of coming to Wii U.
Look it up, there was an article 5 or so years ago about 50+ cancelled games. Some of them still haven’t made it over to the Switch (and these games were _definitely_ coming to Wii U, or so we thought) despite Nintendo being more open minded toward indies
@販売機 i don’t think that’s the full of it, the person who was interested in a lot of plans for nintendo died
This Showcase really makes you FEEL like an Indie developer
I never thought that I would live long enought to see Dunkey in an official Nintendo video.
@Dapper Changeling I doubt that he’s taking all the profits.
When?
@Brian Vaira So, as usual, none of the work, all of the profit.
You didn’t. You are dead. Sorry
Dunkey? as in the guy from the shrek movie?
Easily the biggest surprise here is SteelWool getting Security Breach to run on the switch.
who said anything about working?
If it “””runs””” like it did on other consoles I wouldn’t get your hopes up lol
It barely ran on the ps5 lol
@M Pasqui Bravo, Steel Wool!
@Zed its close
Animal Well looks like a MASTERPIECE
But it will be a 10/5 like Knack 2 that is the question…
cant believe they got the world record holder for Bowser’s Big Bean Burrito in this direct, truly an honor
I dont know man. That could be just his little brother
