Pretty sad when half the comments logically point out the problems with this video but the “like” count is still overwhelmingly higher then the “dislike” count. This seems to be a pattern with these videos.

  2. Nel's Wolf says:

This is why we should test on pigs

  3. Stefan Minnaar says:

This is not even entirely true as nice have highly similar brain chemistry allowing for high success rates in the majority of lab tests

I love that moment in the first Witcher:
“Do we really have to sacrifice the cow?”
“You want to slay a human?! It’s true what they tell about witchers! Glob-Whoble-wob!”

So it’s more practical and less expensive if we just test on monkeys. Thanks got it

  10. Godfrey Emmanuel says:

Basic biology factors in all living thing’s still apply ,but mice are used cause they breed in large amounts and can go through generations very quickly.

  12. Adam Feijoo says:

oh adam their a model species. theyre used to establish basic toxicity of super new drugs. also youve oversimplified the fact that 80% of rat based results dont apply to people. 80% of rat based results arent DIRECTLY applicable to people, but that doesnt mean they dont yield useful data.

  13. NoSuspect says:

Testing on lab animals comes before you even consider human trials.

So yes, mice “are actually terrible test subjects for human trials”.

Mostly because they are not human.

We could instead switch to doing wide spectrum testing consisting of 100’s of species from dogs to cats to monkeys and giraffe. From that point we will then sell the test material where Adam shops and find out if it ruins him before beginning testing on people.

For those saying that this isn’t the full story: you’re right. That’s the point. This is a trailer that’s meant to get you curious so that you will watch the whole show to learn more.

    You’re doing PETA a favor

  20. Carey D Womack says:

I actually work in a lab with rats. It’s not an ideal situation for testing, but there’s a progression to things. You have to start with something like rodents, because you can’t just do the same tests on humans. We have laws against that, so we start with something common that most people don’t really care about like rats and move up from there. It lengthens the process, but it’s better than just cutting people up or giving them drugs like the Nazis.
