Alita: Battle Angel | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX
From visionary filmmakers James Cameron (AVATAR) and Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY), comes ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.

Jesus Christ! ARE WE ACTUALLY GETTING A GOOD MANGA ADAPTION???? HAVE THE PLANETS ALIGNED????
sadly, the director of the film made a GitS film, but the writers wrote a generic scifi film. ScarJo could have been a great choice for the character had they wrote a better script.
Watch the Rurouni Kenshin live action trilogy, the Blade of the Immortal adaptation, the Crows Zero live action trilogy, the Erased adaptation.
There are plenty of GOOD adaptations, but none of them have/will come from Hollywood.
LostMercenary99 probleep…not
On what basis? This trailer is filled with cliches not in the manga, just as much as the Ghost in the Shell trailers. Ghost in the Shell flipped a lot of those tropes and actually made it in line with the source material. I don’t see how this could do that. Makaku fight looks rad though.
Nope.
I know the song is a cover of Linkin Park’s “New Divide” but I’m curious does anyone know who the singer is here?
可以看看
Laura bhrem
I wish my girlfriend could do that stuff. Instead she just sits on the couch and paints her nails and talks on the phone. She’s so stupid
He’s still with her because a hand doesn’t give the same pleasure as a woman.
LMAO
😂😂💀
Good lord… the people that don’t understand its a joke… how are you still alive??
Richard Thompson if people can see his obvious humor then they are clealry stupid
I CAN’T BELIEVE ……. AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL , OMG!!!!……. I’M OVER EXCITED TO WATCH IT… WONDERFUL….😍
Glad to see this won’t be released until December. That gives me plenty of time to read the manga.
This movie will MAYBE cover some of the first volume on the original manga. There are over 30 volumes now.
The Purple Man man chicks are going to see Aquaman just to see dude with his shirt off. That will drive sales in itself.
Oscar winning director James Cameron was introduced to Gunnm by fellow director Guillermo del Toro.
And subsequently purchased the rights to a film adaptation in 2000.

Unglaublicher film! Sehr zu empfehlen, es auszuprobieren!

Visually stunning, but I hope it avoids many of the generic tropes it’s showing in this trailer. Especially considering how Cameron has been doing this instead of Avatar 2…and Avatar 3…and Avatar 4……and Avatar 5, 6?
Cameron is doing Avatar 2 & 3. That’s why no director credit only producer.
From the trailer, doesn’t look like they follow the plot of the manga at all. Seems like they took elements scenes from 3 volumes and combined it into one. Even her first love interest is completely redone it seems. In a very Hollywood-like way, I might add. Also, the villain doesn’t seem to be Nova at all, but some “corporation”, probably from Tiphares. The people behind this project looks decent, but I’m very concerned after watching both trailers.
dannofdawn why would Nova be the central villain when you don’t meet him until much later on in the series. The guy controlling everything is Vector like in the Manga. There’s a ton of scenes directly inspired by the source in this though I’m not interested in watching a complete copy in live action, the new direction makes me even more excited to see where they take the story.
I didn’t even know this was a manga. That’s interesting to me.
Av 2 and 3 are in the works atm. If they bomb at the Box office (which is likely) the rest of them will not happen.
new that is phenomenal!

That New Divide cover reminded me of Chester Charles Bennington. May his soul rest in peace. Its been a year.
New Divide? Did you decide to #MakeChesterProud?
Oh please be good. It’s about time we had a live-action anime/manga adaptation that was actually good, and this looks like it might be it.
i’m sure it will be good. James Cameron is a big fan of Alita and he tried to make the movie for more than 15 years. i highly doubt he will mess it up
Drew Forchic I agree with you that almost every live action anime adaptation has been terrible, but one must never forget the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy.
Im Sure Kenshin and the New Bleach is good lmao😂😂😂
Ryuu Saki Is that sarcasm? The Kenshin Trilogy actually was quite good.
UNCANNY VALLEY: The Movie
New Divide.. Linkin Park

Is there any blood in this? I wanna see blood!
if you saw the anime there’s blood and dismembering and dissections
Her eye makeup is blood, and if this does well enough we’ll get a sequel that involves high-speed cyborg bloodsports.
Probably not, unfortunately. I’m sure Robert would push it to beyond the limits, but I’m also sure it’s going to be PG-13
