The base game felt pretty empty as somebody who played all the other animal crossing games, so I’m super happy that everything is getting added and fleshed out. I definitely see myself getting back into this game now.
Only update not included that I was hoping for is upgrades to the Nook Mart. I loved watching the store expand and offer more options as the town became more economically energized.
There’s also a lot of very small quality of life upgrades that weren’t mentioned that I hope they sneakily add in.
Overall great direct, can’t wait to see what the community does with all these new tools 🙂

@DontTouchMyTea because of this update, its most likely to revive the game and attract even more players! That being said, I have hopes for them to keep updating…hopefully not too many DLC packs though I’ll just go broke

      Kapn is my favorite

Maybe they avoided the spoiler so that you can discover it by yourself, who knows.

@DontTouchMyTea “some people even said they confirmed 3 years content updates
both are not over yet” why are you going off of what other people are saying

@HanaHaruno AC has always been popular, it would’ve sold well regardless, and you weren’t forced to play anything. There have been so many other games that came out around then and since then. You’re only forcing yourself.

Everyone is missing the most important detail… gyroids are back and weirder than ever! Seriously, that’s all I wanted from the original games. I’m happy now.

What a genius move adding a happy home designer to the main game! I love it and it explains why they’ve been quiet for so long! Everything that was predicted and hoped for feels like it’s there again.
I know some people dislike that it wasn’t all released in one go, but to me it feels like the game has grown as my island has and that’s quite a sweet thought.

I think it’s just a side effect of Nintendo spacing things out to avoid crunch. Personally i’m ok with it so long as it’s all available eventually.

I know that this is just a game… but I literally cried when I heard Kapp’n singing 😭 THANK YOU NINTENDO!

I sadly couldn’t watch this live, but i can only imagine how utterly FERAL the chat was.

Somehow, they managed to take a smash hit game, and make it even more phenomenal. I’ve long since stopped playing, but I’ll definitely have to start playing again, maybe from the beginning so I can experience it as one complete package from scratch.

They added the whole Happy Home Designer game into New Horizons and upgraded it how wild isn’t that?!

I’ll be honest, I haven’t played in quite a bit of time, but seeing this MASSIVE update has me SOOOOOOO excited beyond belief! It brought a tear to my eye seeing just how much new stuff is being brought to ACNH, and all the returning characters is awesome to see!! Thank you so much Nintendo!! I am a bit disappointed to see this will be one of the last updates though, but the game seems like it will finally feel complete!

As someone who grew up with previous animal crossing games, this makes me happy to see. Especially Brewster and the gyroids that have been added back. I might just hop on NH again
