The fact that they’ve given nothing away about the plot and the movie has such immense hype shows how influential Barbie truly is

  2. In a world full of trashbags be the trash itself says:

I can’t believe that Barbie, in addition of being a doctor, astronaut ,lawyer, rockstar, fairy, etc, also invented cinema.
Truly the biggest icon of the Anthropocene era

@dpicks24 no i didnt assume they knew every slang ever because they didnt ask what that slang meant they said why cant this generation talk normally or regularly (cant remember seeing as he deleted his comment) which is acting like they dont understand the concept of slang and using context clues why wouldnt i assume that they are older?

    • Medroff says:

I understand the slang but at the same time it’s cringe and shows signs of an unconfident person. “In her bag”? I mean cmon, wtf is that and where did it come from. It sounds so stupid

    • dpicks24 says:

@Ayah A One? You’re assuming they know every slang ever and you’re assuming they’re “old”. Really said “one” 🤦‍♂️ Me? Dramatic?! WHAT???

  5. Switch ✨ says:

this is giving me the vibe that this movie is just totally, entirely plotless and it’s just pretty people having fun for two hours straight and i love that, actually

    • Aaron Jaffe says:

Nah, apparently word circulated quickly through Hollywood circles that this was one of the most masterfully written scripts anyone had seen in a long time. Probably explains how they were able to get the cast they did.

    • Nexel Ray says:

@Ghost_BadgerI was gonna make a comment about alien abduction, but that’s not very original.

    • Kwwaard says:

It looks like a fish out of water plot. All we saw in the trailer was “Barbie World” and they were going to the “real world” at the end.

    • Fabiolean says:

@On Quest You nailed it. Especially once you see Will Ferrell as the (Mattel?) executive.

    • On Quest says:

@Ghost_Badger I personally got a lego movie/Toy Story vibe from this. When it said “Real World This Way” and they were driving towards it, I think it’s gonna be a Toy Story revelation that they’re just toys and not real people.

  6. Eugenia Wong says:

Even as someone who hates “girly” stuff at a young age, I’m always fascinated with Barbie’s fake home and I find joy immersing myself into her seemingly perfect world. Im very excited for thisss

  7. Jasmine says:

I love that they stayed within every thing that makes barbie barbie. It wasn’t just a glamorous blonde girl , they got the bright colours , the over the top outfits , plastic body poses and names etc. I feel like I’m watching the dolls and sets I played with as a kid come to life and it’s FUN

  8. 周健瑜 says:

This will clearly be one of the greatest Barbie movies to ever exist!

  9. ami alejandra says:

Sin duda la iré a ver apenas salga♡ Barbie es desde ya la película del año 🔥💖

  10. DoodleBricks says:

Love the fact that Ken said “because we’re boyfriend and girlfriend” because that seriously gives off the vibe of a kid making up the story and it’s hilarious lol
