“Every squad for themselves.” Yeah, we already saw that in beta.

  2. Danymok says:

Specialists should be removed from the base game, they can be in Hazard Zone

  3. AlessioCalcio06 says:

Yeah definitely reminds me of the way Hunt: Showdown or Escape From Tarkov works, with the idea of retrieving an item from the battlefield and trying to extract it out along with your squad. All while other squads may be wanting to battle for the same device or hunt you down end game trying to steal it for themselves. Seems like a pretty cool concept, excited to see how it plays out.

@Entropy Music I did more research I was wrong

    • Jack Z says:

@Pobsworth yeah I know I was wrong I read through it on the official website I was wrong

    • WorldStarWaffle says:

@Vader They can say it isn’t, but no one else can define it. You may not like it, but it’s battle royale, the next iteration of it.
If people didn’t give them so much flak for announcing Firestorm in V, and how bad it flopped, they’d be calling it the next generation of battle royale. Which games like Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown are.
You’re dying over the wrong hill.

    • Vader says:

@WorldStarWaffle Tarkov and Hunt are not even close to being BRs though, they’re a completely different genre. That’s like comparing capture the flag to team deathmatch. They’re not the same thing. But no one has played this mode so arguing over it doesn’t make any sense honestly, I could be wrong or you could be wrong. Guess we will find out haha I’m just trying to be optimistic, BRs are lame af

    • WorldStarWaffle says:

@Vader They keep saying they’re different genres, but no one’s been able to define that genre.
I love Hunt: Showdown, but I got no qualms calling it a battle royale. ‘Battle royale’ was just a term that came about because a movie had similar themes.
We’ll see what Hazard Zone ends up being.

  4. JMADMACHINE says:

1:25 would be so cool if we could actually jump into the heli like that.

    • TehFocus says:

ArmA 3 might be more interesting to you then

    • Thirsty boi says:

@TehFocus Have you attempted this in Arma? You can’t jump in Arma

    • PotatoMaGobinus says:

@Thirsty boi I was just about to say lmfao

    • TehFocus says:

@Thirsty boi 3000h, pretty sure you can do exactly that. Enhanced Movement Reworked is what you are looking for

    • Tolunay Genç says:

@TehFocus lmao.. Just because you have 3000h makes you a valid source ? It is not possible to do in anyway to create such a cinematic movement in Arma due to its limitations from outdated engine. Although with the mod you are mentioning, it enhances Armas limited movement system.

  5. Pon Odyssey says:

Keep specialists in Hazard Zone, but bring back classes to base modes.

  6. HAWKbest says:

Only 1 man in DICE still knows what is Battlefield. He makes trailers.

  7. Andrei Brebenel says:

Bring back classes for the main game, and remove the specialists

    • westsidebestside says:

      @freaky Mustang u shut up

    • Enclave_Here says:

@Jerm2dop3 How so? They have Portal, which has classes. They made models and renders of generic soldiers. Literally, all they have to do is remove the gadgets, swap them for a second piece of equipment, and change out the models. You’re exaggerating tenfold. Two years to get rid of specialists? LMAO. It may take a month or two at best. And they can release the game and throw it in as a hotfix.

    • MrJacob says:

@Jerm2dop3 not really. They already have classes for portal all they have to do is shift those over to the base game (takes maybe 2-3 weeks max) and keep the specialists for Hazard Zone.

    • JUST-A-SKEPT1C says:

Can you just give it a try there trying to change it up and change is good

    • its chewsday says:

@Jerm2dop3 They were literally doing polls asking the community if they like classes or specialists more. So they can switch. Even if that means they have to delay it. Which I’m all for it.

  8. N O T O R I O U S says:

It’s crazy how hyped i was before the beta

    • Williams96 says:

@ᙏɾ Uടടყ ಠ ͜ ಠ We do actually use guns here in the uk just not to the obscene amount like America you can own guns in the uk the police can use them if the situation is serious enough aswell.

    • Kenzo Marghem says:

It’s funny how people are complaining so much about the beta, while it was on an old build, you guys should just stop and realize that they could improve so much in a months time.

    • Cinnamon Sleuth says:

      @Kenzo Marghem First Battlefield release?

    • Daevii Wbu says:

The game will be better than the Beta. Always is

    • Digitalmessiah says:

I’m tired of seeing trailers and teasers at this point. I want to see Gameplay, because after the Beta none of these trailers do anything for me. The Beta gameplay was shockingly gross. Partially because on PC, there was a console joystick emulator in the Beta build that made aiming absolutely gross.

  9. FireWalk says:

Classes are the backbone in battlefield. It’s what encourages teamwork and helps create that immersive feeling of being on the battlefield as a team, against another team. We all witnessed what happened in the beta, it was every McCay for himself. No teamwork what so ever. The specialists would actually make sense in this game mode, but not in the main conquest mode.

    • Antoine Dekkaki says:

That why im playing « hell let loose » on console !

    • Abc 123 says:

@Callum _ I mean you will be able to play with the BF3 ruleset with all content from BF1942, BC2, BF3 and BF2042, and as far as i know we will be able to edit things such as recoil so someone with enough time will be able to balance every gun and such under the BF3 ruleset. Aslong as we can import other peoples rulesets just 1 person needs to do it. You’ll be able to make your own ruleset and gamemodes if you want to, because the editor comes with a logic editor.

So yeah, it’s kind of a remastered BF3 then, but you’d not be restricted to just BF3 content. It’s an editor like mentioned, not a gamemode – aslong as the tool is powerful enough and people are willing to make some customized ruleset it won’t be just a “remaster” but something of it’s own.

It’s the first BF game since like…BF2 that has allowed some sliver of modding,
Portal isn’t going to be as powerful as a real modding tool, but it’s absolutely better than nothing. Tbh even if there were no specialists and the game was similiar to BF3/BF4 in a new setting and there was no Portal, i probably wouldn’t be getting the game…but i’m kinda excited to tinker around in it and see what people can make. Portal itself will add some longevity to the game because it’s a pseudo-modding tool…even more so if BF2042 had no specialists and other things people dislike.

    • Maiza Games says:

I don’t really think so at all, nothing has changed, adding a grapple hook or a drone does not lower teamwork, the beta was full of randoms trying to figure out game mechanics not slay and win and work together,

    • Austin Givens says:

I think Dice came out and said they’re rethinking not having proper classes

    • ROMAN653 says:

Yeah except 5% of Battlefield randoms actually okay with the squad and work together/use their class to help. The change from class to specialist has minimal effect because most people on a match simply *aren’t playing together, they’re just in the same squad*. I had the same percentage of helpful randoms vs not helpful randoms as I still do in BF4, BF1, BFV. Find a better reason than one that feels illegitimate.

  10. CrispyMuffin says:

i think specialist belong best in hazard zone, it fits the more tactical flow this mode seems to have. standard soldiers should be in the base gamemodes

    looks great, though
