You know Lucy and Ricky. Now it’s time to meet Lucille and Desi. Here’s a special teaser from Being the Ricardos, in theaters December 10 and on Prime Video December 21.

Lucille Ball (Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) are threatened by shocking personal accusations, a political smear and cultural taboos in Academy Award®-winning writer and director Aaron Sorkin’s behind-the-scenes drama Being the Ricardos. A revealing glimpse of the couple’s complex romantic and professional relationship, the film takes audiences into the writers’ room, onto the soundstage and behind closed doors with Ball and Arnaz during one critical production week of their groundbreaking sitcom “I Love Lucy.”

I kept expecting a dramatic reveal of Nicole as Lucy at the end of this trailer.

    • Ed Halvey says:

@Tyler Maez True, but THE most iconic image of Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo is the Vitameatavegamin scene with her sour facial expression.

    • Maria Soto says:

Is a teaser trailer people, plus if you bother to hear her voice, she is performing, not reading the newspaper, geez🙄🙄

    • Omar Sarwar says:

@Anthony Powell Stranger things have happened, like the gorgeous Penelope Cruz being cast as the underworld creature Donatella Versace 😆

    • Ulkar Alakbarova says:

@Alfredo Oliva let’s leave WTF aside. It’s not polite. I k know they have revealed her face. What I meant, my apologies for not giving a complete answer – they hid her face throughout teaser but showed only in the end during the grape scene. That’s what I meant as a marketing move. You barely see her in teaser, even though she was almost in every part of it, but so quickly, you have to pause it.

      @TotinosPizzaRollz because it’s A TEASER

I’m so happy for Tony Hale and Clark Gregg.

I’ve been watching I love lucy since I was a little girl….and now my girls watch it too 🥰

    • LysolPionex says:

Same! I used to sneak out of my room and tiptoe past my dad asleep, and watch it with my mom while she folded laundry.

Last night my daughter fell asleep on the couch watching it with me. ❤️

This could be a hit. It’s a mini arrested development reunion.

  5. WTFG says:

Diggin’ the music in the background.

  6. Bailey H says:

What stuck out to me was “I never expected it to be a hit”. Goes to show that no matter what, do what you do as well as you can and you never know, you might be the next big hit.

  7. Ro Ro says:

News flash! Nicole Kidman is not Lucille Ball. And Lucille Ball was not Lucy Ricardo. That’s how life works, folks. No need to write a novel about it in the comment section. 😂

    • J LA says:

Yeah, but isn’t she way too old to play Lucy? I mean she was in her 30’s and 40’s during that time and Kidman is over 50! And I’m sorry, but effects age people way better than de-aging. It often looks awful IMO. But we shall see. I think Kidman is a good actress.

  8. Amanda Castro Band says:

I am a HUGE fan of Lucy and Desi ! I can’t wait to watch this!!!!!

  9. R520 J R says:

This trailer for the movie about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz has a weird lack of proper shots of Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball

  10. Bill Lozier says:

My second thought is Nicole looks great and she’s playing Lucille Ball. Not Lucy, and anyone who remembers L.B.knows how very smart and serious she really was.
