Binging With Babish Cooks In-N-Out and Shake Shack Clones | The Burger Show

In the world of burgers, the In-N-Out vs. Shake Shack rivalry is the stuff of legend, pitting east coast against west coast in a battle of patty supremacy. But rather than feed the fire of an old flame, Alvin Cailan is teaming up with YouTube legend Andrew Rea (Binging With Babish) to teach people how to make both of these iconic burgers at home. Better yet, they’ve devised the ultimate peace treaty: a Double Shack x Double-Double Animal-style Voltron burger. It’s a moment in burger history you won’t want to miss.

First We Feast’s “The Burger Show” is a new web series that explores everything about modern burger culture—from the rise of Instagram-bait stunt burgers, to the enduring influence of regional styles—through the eyes of Eggslut chef, Alvin Cailan. Alvin’s breakfast-sandwich empire in Los Angeles put him on the culinary map, but it’s burgers that are his true passion. Now he’s in NYC to understand what drives his obsession, and he’s linking up with folks like Adam Richman, Matty Matheson, and Binging With Babish’s Andrew Rea to help him along the way.

When will Five Guys not get slept on smh it’s the Chic-fil-a of burger chains

    • Daniel Nunya Bidnezz says:

BlackFlatStanley Nah. Five Guys is Overpriced Burgerking.

    • Juan Ulysses says:

BlackFlatStanley Five Guys is ok. Not worth what they charge. To get a double with fixing, a fry and a shake it came out to like $14. I can get a USDA dry aged ribeye burger for that from a 5* steakhouse, with truffle fries and a glass bottle of coke

    • Liem Ross says:

I really don’t like Five Guys’ burgers. Shake shack is definitely better in my opinion

    • BlackFlatStanley says:

Five Guys is overpriced just like Chic-fil-a is, both are bougie fast-food places, that’s part of the reason why I made the comparison lol. Also the only thing Five Guys needs to really stand out is their own home lemonade, their burgers are already better than In n Outs imo

I guess if you live near an ocean you are better and smarter than the rest of us lol…5 guys is amazing and totally underrated all though I think they are on the up and up.

  13. Paradox The Vegabond says:

7:08 that guy was not buying how the wrapping of the in n out burger does anything to the burger besides sometimes make it soggy lol

    • Deathbrewer says:

I don’t know about flavor, but I do like the “burger diaper” for keeping your hands cleaner and helping to contain unruly burgers that would otherwise fall apart more easily, lol…

    • Clement Moraschi says:

To be fair, if you get a straight cheeseburg from five guys and leave it wrapped in foil, it all steams together something nice. Throwing a bit of paper around an in & out won’t do jack though.

  14. Ye Ole Baz says:

“The wrap makes it…”, “like a flavour enveloppe.” This guy tokes.

Damn!!! I don’t even eat meat and I wanted to bite into those!

    • Sauce Stache says:

Sorry my comments have bothered you so much. I’ve only ever said nice things. Don’t bring up my channel or videos, but the fact that I have a channel bothers you. I’ve never pushed a vegetarian agenda or have said you shouldn’t eat meat…. because I appreciate all foods. Even meat. I’m not going to stop watching YouTube or commenting on videos because I enjoy it. I like it just as much as you like telling people off. Hopefully the next comment you see from me doesn’t offend you so much.

    • Max Werner says:

      Fuck you pussy

    • Marchelino Widarsono says:

Damn, it’s just one comment you guys. No need to get triggered to badly.

You created the Mid America Burger.

  20. Matthew Hogan says:

NYC resident speaking — Shake Shack isn’t even a top 10 burger in the City. I’d go for Five Guys before I ate Shake Shack.

I’ve only had In-N-Out once (not even animal style — I was an amateur) and it blew Shake Shack out of the water.
