This is exactly what a trailer should be like. Give a hint of the movies premise without showing us the entire movie. Can’t wait to see it. Ana de Armas rocks

Marilyn didn’t know how famous she was going to be!!! And I’m still not over people handing Marilyn’s famous dress so easily 😭😭😭 she deserved better even after passing

@Ivan with all due respect (meaning none) you sound like someone who would say that a woman was “asking for it” if she was assaulted at some point and then would point out what she was wearing as if that mattered. You are part of the problem.

    • LizzieB Kennedy says:

@Ivan so the Kennedy bros, both Catholic, middle aged, married and leaders, are not responsible but a vulnerable women is? FRO.

This woman is literally an icon …
She will always be an important figure for all following decades

    • DeviantMoore says:

This movie is a bit in poor taste, though. The author of the book literally made most of it up and was forthcoming about that. It’s loosely based on Marilyn.

Kinda sad that this troubled individual’s life has now been reduced to a Netflix psychological thriller inspired by a fictional novel.

This isn’t the way to pay homage. It’s just… gross.

All mighty Hollywood machinery make her like that…

I live in Spain, and I remember growing up watching Ana de Armas in the spanish teen tv show “El Internado” like 15 years ago, it makes me so happy for her seeing all the work she’s gotten in Hollywood, and now…getting to portray the one and only Marilyn Monroe, gosh…I feel so proud of her and how far she’s come ^^

    • JoMeyli says:

I forgot about “el internado” you are right ! and I love this

    • Frijos v says:

Thats where i know her from!!! Ive seen her around but didnt conne t her to el intendo. Thats so awesome!!

The cinematography/editing looks AMAZING. I think, much like Spencer, this will be polarizing. Those wanting a straightforward biopic like Judy that plays it safe are going to hate it. But those looking for something more impressionistic and artistic and unique while maybe taking some liberties with the true story will love it. I absolutely can’t wait, and for the record I think Spencer is one of the most harrowing horror films I’ve ever seen (that’s not in the horror genre). And I’m assuming the scene where she goes in that man’s office is going to be what gave it the NC17 rating.

Marilyn is such a complex and tragic figure. She deserves to be portrayed with sincerity and humanity and this definitely looks promising.

  7. TheGamerMonkeyz says:

Beyond excited for this! Ana de Armas is a great fit, she’s a brilliant actor and will do great portraying Marilyn’s tragic legacy.

  8. Anastasia Beaverhausen says:

Those “Niagara” shots are totally a cinematic match to that film’s color palette. Well done. That movie is a potboiler for sure, but one I never tire of watching. Norma Jean was impersonating a character called “Marilyn.” I always love seeing her drop that mask somewhat when I watch her best dramatic work in films like “Bus Stop” and “The MIsfits.”

    • grapes9h5 says:

Yeah the Niagara shits really stood out to me – it’s incredible how they recreated that look so perfectly.

  9. Vitor Lima says:
