As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero BLUE BEETLE.

Massive respect to DC for promoting the comics at the end – that’s gonna be great for the people who worked on those!

    • syazwan says:

I bet this is James Gunn idea since he loved comics and promoting them

    • Julian David AC says:

@Ronald Lalisan the writers? It’s a joke, why in the world a worker in the middle of nowhere can understand the motivations of Bruce Wayne and his journey as Batman, they don’t know, just like the people can’t figure out that Clark Kent is Superman, not for the glasses only because they only see a blur in the sky, bad writing is thinking that the character knows what we as audience know.

    • Jack John says:

@Drew I bet you didn’t read any good batman comics.

    • Junk Doctors says:

That’s awesome! It’s great to see DC supporting the comic creators.

    • D B says:

This is what they should continue to do from this point on. What a great way to encourage people to dive into the origins of the super heroes. It ALL started with comics.

  2. Willis J says:

Big belly burger. That suit. That transition. Just everything!!! Whoever did props and costume for this deserves a raise

  3. Abdul Saboor says:

They did a great job showing how scary it was when he first transformed and became part of the suit, and I don’t think anyone can argue with that.

  4. Frozen Things Studios says:

I love how Jaime isn’t trying to hide his identity as Blue Beetle and everyone knew about him being Blue Beetle from the start. This is a great change from the typical teen superhero movies where the main character would hide his identity as a superhero from his close ones.

    • Junk Doctors says:

That’s awesome! It’s refreshing to see a superhero movie where the protagonist doesn’t have to hide their identity from the people they care about. #BlueBeetle #TeenSuperhero

    • Puta Lover says:

      Less logical but whateves

    • Sean Teggert says:

@Frozen Things Studios maybe so but it doesn’t change the fact that “hiding your identity” is obsolete when you transform right in front of your family

    • Wrae says:

You say that but we havent got any superheroes flick recently where they had to hide their identity, mostly just Spiderman ( maybe ms marvel but i didnt watch ), feels like everyone in the MCU opens about their identity like celebrities, and DCEU its like they never even bother

    • Isaiah Adams says:

      True that

  5. GreenScorpion37 says:

Never have I been so excited to see a DC live action film since Man of Steel. I first saw Blue Beetle during Young Justice, and I fell in love with the character ever since. Hopefully the movie does him justice.

    • GreenScorpion37 says:

@putalover4519  Haven’t seen Joker. The new Batman was good, but I wasn’t excited to watch it (I’m glad I was wrong). Both Suicide Squads I wasn’t fond of.

    • Imanuel Wright II says:

Same here bro I’m excited for sure

    • ZanFear says:

Same here. I barely had an idea who Blue Beetle was. Then I watched Young Justice season 2 a bit after it came out and holy, such an epic season, and made me a fan of Blue Beetle and Impulse. Hope they make a sequel where he goes up against The Reach and Black Beetle.

    • Junk Doctors says:

Great! We can’t wait to see Blue Beetle on the big screen!

    • Puta Lover says:

Man of steel flunked so hopefully this won’t. Also you clearly haven’t seen the new Joker, Batman, or James Gunn suicide squad

  6. Jullia Capybara says:

My god, seeing Xolo starring as the main character as Blue Beetle gives me so much hope for the film. So pumped up for the release of it 💪

  7. Wafiy M. says:

The way they captured how terrifying his first transformation and assimilation into the suit was amazing and you can’t convince me otherwise.

    • Josh Loves Movies says:

Jamie Reyes Blue Beetle transformation is insane!

    • Vince Lumontad says:

      Poor clothing budget of Jamie

    • Skyleader1212 says:

It should be really painful the first time since the bettle literally have to burrow its legs into the host spine so the host could have full control of the suit with his mind

    • Junk Doctors says:

That is such a great way of looking at it! It’s so powerful when you can connect with the character’s roller-coaster of emotions.

    • Nick Grimes says:

Nah I think they found a good balance between horror and comedy with the family’s reaction. Like, if this was shot at night and BB was by himself this would be straight horror.

  8. PunkieDudie says:

I’ve been waiting for a Blue Beetle movie for so long!! And I’m so glad the Xolo was cast as Jaime Reyes!! HE’S PERFECT!!

  9. MaL AnimsGaming says:

I didn’t expect to see Blue Beetle would get a movie, he’s one of my favorite DC characters. Now I can finally see him in live action

  10. xPreame says:

I like how his whole family watches him transform into Blue Beetle. It’s actually one of the few moments you see superheroes and their families get involved. You don’t see that a lot.
