I hope Bojack doesn’t relapse. He made a step forward last season, but he seems more confused in this trailer πŸ˜”

rocker00000 seasons 1-3 ended in very troubling way for bojack. He did surprisingly well career-wise, but always worse emotion-wise. Season 4 actually had a good ending for Bojack. There seemed to be a glimpse of hope..

    • rocker00000 says:

+acerkele Oh yeah, it was just fucked for everyone else. At least progress for Bojack! Lol

    • acerkele says:

rocker00000 When I said Bojack in my original post, I meant the character of course, not the whole show. In any case, I cannot conclude much about the potential of the rest of the characters based on this trailer.

    • Sung Hyo San says:

+acerkele Whoa, what if like bojack’s life starts getting better and better, but everyone else’s (Diane, Todd, PC, mr peanutbutter…) just gets worse because his life is getting better

    • acerkele says:

Sung Hyo San It could be an interesting scenario, but so far his life becoming better had no (good or bad) effect to the others (except for Hollyhock obviously). Let’s see what season 5 may reveal us.

  12. InklingEspeon says:

God I hope this show stays good

  13. Ellie Lindsey says:

FINALLY!! So it seems like it’s going to be focused on the idea that recovery is not linear progress and you often keep finding yourself right back where you started, going nowhere. FUN CAN’T WAIT!!!

    • marioxzzz says:

Yeah and it seems that they are not gonna destroy his personal relationships (protect Hollyhock). Instead it looks like they are gonna focus on his addiction issues (lets hope those don’t destroy his relationships)

    • Ellie Lindsey says:

marioxzzzΒ  I hope so too! If Bojack somehow ruins his relationship with Hollyhock, it would be the most devastating moment in the series…

    • Ghostus Coyote says:

I always thought Hollyhock was a crappy add to the series. Season 4 was pretty bad, I hope season 5 is better. Loved the first 3 seasons though!

    • Adrian Daniel says:

Regarding non-linear story telling and the repeated lines, my guess is that this season, or at least an episode or a portion of it, may be set up sort of like “Groundhog Day”/”Live, Die, Repeat,” but each retelling (or each new day) gets more abstract and absurd than the previous. We see evidence of this not only in the repeated lines but repeated scenes with minor changes or repeated props (vodka bottles with the days on them) and absurdism in the form of PC being made of yarn and Todd’s head being a giant hand (1:04). This absurdism could be a metaphor for his life falling apart due to his addictions (“Are you keeping things together?” “Are you gonna be okay?”) …I’m probably super wrong but I’m still excited for the new season.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void, the key to being happy isnΒ΄t to search for meaning. ItΒ΄s just to keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense. And eventually youΒ΄ll be dead.

I’ve never been more excited for a show.
