Mmm…not so much when she spews her “California sober” bullshit. You can’t say that kind of crap when you have a platform you’re speaking from where millions of people, many of them addicts, look up to you.

This song and video made me cry. My mom is an alcoholic and sometimes does drugs. She was recently diagnosed with heart failure and the doctors told her if she keeps drinking, doing drugs or smoking cigarrettes, she’ll die sooner than expected because her heart can’t take it anymore. Sadly she’s had many releapses since she got out of the hospital. Everyday i fear that she may be drinking or smoking again, i just hope she’s strong to make it and keep living. I hope she stops dancing with the devil. Thank you Demi for this song, i would encourage my mom to hear it but i know she wouldn’t feel understood but encouraged, sadly 🙁 either way i will always have this song in my heart, it makes me understand my mom better…

Demi é a famosa mais humana que existe, ela mostra dor e não finge ser perfeita só por causa da fama. Demi, você é incrível e tudo ficará bem. ♡

  9. Emira says:

As a former heroin and meth addict, I have been so ashamed of my past for years. I was an IV drug user and I hid it from everyone I knew. When everything finally came out – because secrets never stay bottled up for long – everyone said they were surprised because I didn’t “look like an addict”. Addiction doesn’t have the same face. It is everywhere. I am proudly 6 years sober and I look up to Demi so much. I have never relayed to an artist on such a personal level. Thank you, Demi, for sharing your story. I know it wasn’t easy.
