Hey doctor mike, so I wanted to ask a simple question for all of the fellow music lovers but I also want to know what can happen from going to concerts.

So over the summer I had gone to three concerts, I love concerts but I want to know if anything could happen from going to them a few times in a short period of time? I went to Taylor Swift twice and 5 seconds of summer to once. Both are extremely loud considering the fans and the speakers being everywhere, also they both have unique light shows, Taylor having light up bracelets and 5sos having a extreme neon fluorescent light show. I was wondering if these could affect my hearing and vision majorly (or any other part of my body)?

P.s. If you want a example just search Taylor Swift reputation tour or 5 seconds of summer meet you there tour (myt tour). Also love your videos, I just started watching and I’m obsessed.

you might trip and hurt your knee. There might be a panic outbreak and you can get killed in stampede ;). I was really into music as a kid and as I played myself, so I was at a concert once a week and had rehearsals a few times between concerts. Rule of thumb is – if your ears hurts, step away. After a concert you might feel something is wrong with your hearing, but it’s just a way to adapt for hearing louder noises and it will reverse in next 12 hours if that was a long exposure.

    • Emily Noakes says:

Don’t know about vision, but if you’re going to lots of concerts, some people can experience long term problems like permanent tinnitus. Ear plugs designed for concerts are fantastic, it’s like listening to the music at the normal, safer level but doesn’t take away from the fun.

Hey doc , will there be a possibility to cure cancer in the future ? How far has the technology developed when it comes to cancer treatment ?

    • kimjeonut says:

+The Winter soldier How do you know if there is enough of the cure though? Wouldnt it be better if they hid it and got the most richest people to buy it. Making them even more money. This world is fucked up like that.

    • Crystal Boyett says:

There is no single cure for cancer because cancer isn’t just one thing. There are many types of cancer some of which do have very successful treatment options (if caught soon enough) but it is impossible to create a “cure all” for cancer. It would be like trying to create one single vaccine to cure/prevent every virus, it just isn’t possible because they all work differently.

*Doctors definitely aren’t as smart as a lot of people think they are! That’s for sure!*

    • JUJU says:

No one is as smart as people think. No one can know everything nor should they try. My aunt is a world renowned scientist who speaks regularly to colleges and institutions all over the world. Outside her field, she knows little else because she spends her life honing her craft and enjoying life.

    • Celestine Reyes says:

+Charity Sellman the building wall question is easy. If it takes 8 men to do the wall in 10 hours how long will it take 4 men? The answer is pretty obvious. 20 hours..

Doctor Mike!!! I have a problem, I’m a twin and I really really really hate going to the doctors because my mom always makes us have the same appointment and it’s very very VERY awkward having her in the room while I’m being examined. On top of that, my mom never gives me a chance to speak at all either. It was fine when we were little but I’m 14! I don’t want to hurt either one of their feelings, how do I tell her about this?

  13. Carm 22 says:

That was adorable, Dr Mike was so excited to get that right!!😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I would have been concerned if you had not gotten max points on the medical test, hahaha. Those “idiot tests” are so tricky sometimes, good for outside of the box thinking sometimes, but often they’re just a bit silly.
