Check out the teaser trailer and a poster for Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively, “Elemental” releases on June 16, 2023.

Some important things to note: not only is Ember the only fire elemental on the train, the train is designed to accommodate all elements except for fire.

@twindrill it didn’t tho. You ppl made that connotation. The movie was all about animals…predators and prey. Why does everything have to be about race.
@twindrill Zootopia was good at showing how a single person can be privileged in one way but discriminated against in another way (for instance, Judy could be coded as a white woman and Nick as a man of colour. Judy was seen as too small and weak to be a cop, but then was privileged to be a herbivore and not demonized.) and everyone claiming predators were more aggressive was shown to be bigoted and wrong. The problem is that at the beginning of the movie, they imply that predators really DID used to eat herbivores, and that makes it sound like bigoted people have a reason to be scared. It would have been better if that story was shown to be faked propaganda or something. Maybe it their world, predators only ever ate bug/reptiles/fish and not mammals (who are the only people in that world.)

This is a perfect example of how you do a teaser trailer. You’re not getting a synopsis or plot of the the entire movie, but it perfectly gives you a setting and a vibe. That’s a teaser!!!

That transition from the Pixar lamp, the 2D looking faces with 3D forms, Zootopia vibes, and the MUSIC! I dig this

U know a movie is gonna be something special when u cant stop smiling through out the entire trailer.
Well, after Lightyear, it’s very nice to see something fresh, new and original from the studio. I’m not sure what else to say about the trailer, other than having wonderful animation that’s flowing with life and wonder, and wonderful voice acting. I’m hooked, and I can’t wait to see more.
Wow just wow, the animation and shading is so clean and smooth, as expected from Pixar. Definitely going to watch when this comes out.
Pixar absolutely THRIVES when it comes to their original movies, and this does not seem to be an exception. I can’t wait to learn more about these characters and this new world
