EPIC View of Moon Transiting the Earth

EPIC View of Moon Transiting the Earth

This animation features actual satellite images of the far side of the moon, illuminated by the sun, as it crosses between the DSCOVR spacecraft’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) and telescope, and the Earth – one million miles away.

Lol NASA Keeps deleting comments that contain proof that this is fake…
    Proof right there

it looks fake! i feel like i’m watching a south park episode. the dark
shadow on the right gives it an un-natural look to it and makes it seem as
if its a cardboard cut out. i’m sure its real but still it looks funny.

Did anybody else notice the little blink of light at 11 o’clock at video
    marker :15?

  4. TribalManners says:

the dark side of the moon is rather uneventful it seems. one would think
the side away from earth would get a much harder beating than the shielded

Très étrange l’ombre sur le coté droit de la lune…..c’est toujours la

look so fake, my opinion !

  8. Ormbar says:

This is total bs ! First of all the dark side of the moon is bright !
Second no stars ! Third clouds dont move !

notice how there are no alien bases.

What I find interesting is all the comments about how fake and the other
side saying it is not. If you just read the actual published comment you
would see that this is fake = “This animation” which includes Real
=”features actual satellite images of the far side of the moon.” So in this
case, both parties are right. The animation portion is fake, but the actual
moon is derived from photos taken. Way to go general education system.

  11. Travis Stewart says:

They must have failed you as well, seeing as how the definition of
animation is a series of successive pictures to create an illusion of
movement. Like did you even know that old cartoons were actual drawings?
    Flip books?! Thanks education systems.

  12. Benjamin Asiedu says:

fools only would believe this, where were they when they take the pic, and
were they on the moon or in the earth and how far the world camera reach to
capture the earth include the moon?look its not true okay….. NASA always
would deceive you… let them go search for the missing aeroplane

  13. TheRockerxx69 says:

Did the moon create an eclypse on this occasion??? Does the moon rotates on
    itself ???

  14. ShAdYlTrAiN says:

Wow that is some crappy CGI!! At least they do admit that the earth is
animated!! Look around the right side of the moon as it transitions across
the right side of the screen. Green pixelated CGI back screen for editing.
They could at least use the updated geographical layout of the continents.
At least for the true “globalist”.

    totally cool!

wake up people, this is unreal animation. definetly not real :))

  17. Wiktor Kobylinski says:

Who knows the date when the pictures were shot? It was a new moon.

  18. El Osmodivs says:

How come clouds never move in NASA’s videos?

  19. Chris Carbaugh says:

I don’t blame people who are screaming about how fake this looks, but its a
lousy 4 megapixel camera floating 1 million miles away. The images are not
going to be remotely high definition, nor will they capture major cloud and
atmospheric changes in only a few hours worth of images.

Could it be fake? Sure. Was the first moon landing fake? Maybe. But they
are about to release regular images from this satellite next month with a
new image every 12-36 hours. Will all those be fake too? I doubt it.

We have technology like this out there floating around like giant space
junk taking photos and monitoring space weather and earth’s atmosphere. Its
not fake. We really are doing these things and reaching out into the

One day people will be looking at shitty animations of some far off area of
Laniakea millions of miles away claiming its fake too.
