Clearly I missed out on a masterpiece of a game while growing up. I can summon a lightning storm while driving a Crane Shovel? Shit, that’s all you had to say.
I don’t know who decided the voice dubbing needed to be so aggressively British, but these do feel like the kind of people who would start a construction equipment fight club.
“I was born in a construction vehicle. No one can match my control.”
I never thought I would see a shounen anime where the power base is operating construction vehicles.
As someone who has done construction work this is extremely accurate I always gasp at the sun and almost die when walking out of the trailer off break.
Artdink was really on fire in the late ’90s-early aughts. They also made a open-world caveman game where the objective was to kill enough mammoths to build a tower to the sun with their tusks, and that had a day-night cycle where the player character would instantly fall asleep on the spot no matter what he was doing.

@Jestawell a skid steer with tyres or a positrack if it has tracks
@TheAndrewj96 time to emulate lol
Well, if you grew up outside Europe or Japan, you were shit out of luck anyway; this game was only released in those two regions.
Frankly, you should like some sort of bumbler

It sounds very, VERY Australian. At least the bumbler does. Maybe not the old man
@Sboat yes, you’re bad at differentiating. All of the accents are English.
@Sad Dadiam american. Maybe I’m bad at differentiating. But the main character guy sounds like an aussie accent to my ears.
Workplace banter init?
@Memes Are KEEM Definitely not Australian lol

mecha
This game is one of those once in a life time gems a developer gets to work on, man I wish I was a fly on the wall for a brainstorming session.

Dunkey has clearly never stumbled out of a Vegas casino on a summer day. It’s like a fucking nuclear bomb.
Use to play this in tournamenets back in the day. ‘you bumbler’ still rings in my ears
No way they had tournaments for this 😂
It’s not “you bumbler”..it’s “you bum blood”
@MyDogIsYoshi respect your elders
I simultaneously believe and don’t believe this
i honestly have never struggled to breathe from laughing so hard as much as i have listening to the fighters talk shit to each other

This felt like a modern satirical indie fighter game.
The fact that this was a legit game for PS2 is an unexpected twist
It never ceases to amaze me how Dunkey can find all these ridiculous games
