Florida 10-year-old arrested for threatening mass shooting at school
Deputies on Florida’s west coast made an arrest after a school shooting threat was made.
Maybe like 20 years ago, I would argue that he’s just a child, give him some slack. But with all the mass/school shootings happening, people can’t take the risk. It’s up to the parents to raise their child appropriately, otherwise all threats will be treated seriously.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter how well you try and raise your kids you just can’t control them all the time. It’s not always the parents fault.

I remember when people would just say that these were meaningless threats, but now we are at the point where these kids need to be arrested because kids are actually executing horrific crimes.
I hope the kid gets the help that he needs. It’s a shame that this is even a problem in our school system.
This is actually good to see. Lessons must be taught. This goes for adults as well. Hold people accountable!

@Mike R No, I’ve not heard this. I’ve just been trying to understand WHY it’s always young boys and men who perform these acts. Where does all this misfiring in their neurological wiring come from?? It’s sad and sickening anymore these days.
This arrest is totally justified. Because of swift actions, this child may get the help he needs. I don’t bleed for this kid. It’s a cry for help that was taken seriously. Kudos to pee dee. Back the blue!

@Frenchman I agree it wasn’t this way. I have heard it explained how there is no longer a fear of God, I’m going to hell more or less. It’s pretty complicated I think
The shcool system is literally the problem though. Even a freaking alien would realize what a stupid idea it is to cram a bunch of hormonal, barely functional kids in the same space for hours on end.
You have a bunch of mice in a pet store, every now and then someone gets bit, someone gets killed. Is it bad genetics? Did the employees not pay close enough attention? Or is it because you have 30 freaking mice crammed in a 2 ft space with no hope of escape.
what help does he need? he needs discipline…thats what wrong today, you parents let your kids run the house…i know, i stayed with a family for a couple years and the kids made all decisions and told the parents what to do and what they were and Werent gonna do. you parents created these monsters by being so damned soft on them.
That’s how this kid and everyone else should be treated if threatening. It’s not a joke and people should be punished for just mentioning such a thing. Good job FL police God bless you and protect all of us from insane people threatening our safety.

With all the shootings happening, any threat like this must be taken seriously, and those who make threats need to be arrested. We can’t take any chances, even if it is only a kid who makes the threat.
