Gabby Petito’s Death Was a Homicide, Coroner Says

A coroner in Wyoming confirmed on Tuesday that the body found in the park over the weekend is Gabby Petito, and has ruled that her death was a homicide.

The cause of death is still pending the final autopsy results, the FBI said in a tweet.

That came hours after the Petito family attorney released a brief statement to the media, in which he said that more will come from the family once Petito’s body is returned home.

“I want to personally thank the press and news media for giving the Petito and Schmidt family time to grieve,” lawyer Richard Stafford said, referring to Petito’s mom, dad, stepfather and stepmother. “We will be making a statement when Gabby is home. I will contact you to arrange a time and location.”

The FBI had already said it believed the remains found Sunday in Bridger Teton National Forest, on the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park, were Petito’s. A mysterious stone cross was discovered in the campground where the body was found.

Their biggest question right now: Where is Brian Laundrie?

Police in North Port, Florida, Laundrie’s hometown, launched a renewed search for him in the 25,000-acre Carlton Preserve on Tuesday, a day after they said they were suspending the effort because they believed they had exhausted all avenues. They started searching early in the day. As of early afternoon, nothing had been found.

Laundrie’s parents have said they haven’t seen their son since last Tuesday, when he said he was going to the preserve for a hike. They have since spoken to law enforcement officers as federal and local agents intensify their search for answers.

Petito’s family has said they believe Laundrie’s family knew more than they let on.

If they can prove his parents lied, they should be charged for it.

@808 G8GT What specifically did they do that was illegal and will be charged for ? It might come out later that they did something , but as of right now—you don’t know

I agree. If the cops asked where he was and they told a deliberate lie and it’s proven they lied they may be charged with obstruction. But that’s it. And only if it’s proven they lied.

I feel so happy that so many doctors and nurses died while treating covid, so many soldiers died fighting extremists overseas. However, because of media hype I feel extremely sad for one entitled and privileged young white female blonde went missing and died. My sadness started as soon as media started reporting the missing person’s report filed by her father. If media cared even one percent for the homeless and black people, we could understand the real world better. But media, just Netflix reports which is spicy for the public. This will soon become a Netflix show soon 😂 The public likes privileged and entitled young white blonde girls. You see it’s not the brain, but the skin. The skin is the real power in this country. Hence the whole country mourns with this news. Nice way to divert the attention from Biden administration’s failure btw 😂

Not really. Gabby’s death was not a homicide. She’s dead based on law enforcement’s incompetence. They let her abuser go on a credible witness statement. Law enforcement killed her. If they arrested Brian she’d be alive today.

I call: His Parents gave investigators a wrong lead. He is NOT where they look for him. He is already far away.

Missing white woman syndrome strikes again. What about all the other missing men and women who aren’t attractive white girls. When was the last time they have gotten this type of coverage. Pathetic society we live in

He’ll blend in with the homeless. He’ll be wearing hoodies, pretending to wear some covid mask, dirty Laundrie, live under the bridge and strolling Walmart carts.

Brian is a camper, a survivor, he had time, money and means, I don’t think he’s in Florida. But he will show up at some point because he will needs supplies or get sick.

The parents should be charged with helping a fugitive. He’s not a person of interest. He’s the primary suspect.

Because you wouldn’t want you family to turn you in? Why does a person of interest flee from questioning in a murder case? Why doesn’t he just sit down a help the cops here? You know why, I know why, and they know why too.

    • Sofa king we Todd Ed says:

@Sal Spencer I don’t know who told you felons can’t vote but that’s wrong you can’t vote with a active felony case the minute it’s closed and your time is served you voter rights are restored.. I voted for Trump.. And as far as guns go you better bring yours if you come to take mine..

    • MsMoNeY87 says:

@Sofa king we Todd Ed Break up with the person or stop talking to them. Murdering someone you supposed to be “in love with” is overboard.

    • Sofa king we Todd Ed says:

@Sal Spencer to answer your question.. He flees because he killed her but that doesn’t change the process nor does it instantly stop his parents loving him… He has the right to fair trial and the state or feds in this case have the burden of proof and considering he’s just a person of interest they have no proof he might actually walk..

    • Sofa king we Todd Ed says:

@MsMoNeY87 People die every second of ever day it’s not now nor has death ever been a tragedy.. We are tiny specks of dust floating around on a tiny rock in infinite space. One day the sun will swallow the earth and all evidence of our existence will be lost.. The idea the she is somehow more important than a tree or a dog is insane.. Every living thing has to die at some point every star every atom.. My life is no more important than than any other living creature.. We as humans rip animals from their homes kill and eat them every day.. I struggle to see a difference.. Who decided what creatures are allowed to be slaughtered.. At the end of the day we are all animals and and animals kill..

I hope what he did to that girl, he has returned to him. The parents absolutely should be charged.
