What would you do if you were trapped in a toy factory and the toys came to life? I’m not talking in a fun Toy Story way, I mean in a Five Nights At Freddy’s you are trapped and they want to END you kind of way. This is Poppy Playtime and I think there is a lot of lore hiding in the depths of this toy nightmare. Today I’m going to explain how I think Poppy may NOT be our big bad and what may still be lurking in the shadows.

Yeah, I think my theory is 100% right as this point. If you want your game to be noticed by Mat, then put kid stuff in it.

  2. LB & CN says:

The fact that this game has very realistic graphics, VHS tapes, creepy “toys”, AND THEORIES within hours, make it a whole lot better

  3. Hot Blade says:

    Huggy Wuggy’s right hand: [Exists.]

Everyone: *May we offer you a high-five in these trying times?*

  4. 3D VR 360 VIDEOS says:

I still hope to meet Huggy again in the DLC 😁

The only thing I’d change about this theory is that it seems like the creatures are not purely biological but are instead some sort of cyborg hybrid. Based on the fact that Poppy does have a “voice box,” though covered in blood and that Huggy’s digestive track is referenced as being “wired properly” which would feel strange for an attempt at creating new life.

  6. Frynn says:

I would also like to point out the poster about adoption says “all kids deserve a chance at a new life.” They didn’t specify what kind of “new life” those kids would have. Not to mention the fact that it says employees who become foster parents get benefits, encouraging them to adopt children they would use for experiments.

  7. Finn says:

    Matpat: It BLEEDS.
Me: “If it bleeds, we can kill it”.

  8. Just Some Guy without a Mustache says:

MatPat isn’t making theories at this point, he’s literally breaking down how to write the rest of the story of the game for the writers and developers. Literally helping them by brainstorming the ideas for them.

  9. BlueEyesWhiteVegeta says:

Matpat: The hardest secret in the game to find is the Pink VHS tape.

    Markiplier: Immediately spots it

    • Jacob Weatherford says:

@Michael Massie marks also got eyes like a hawk

    • Ollie Valentine says:

@Michael Massie nah it’s his adhd
Tiny things that barely stick out tend to stick out a lot to us
Like how he immediately noticed the train
It just stood out too much for le brains
Honestly the first thing to notice would be the colors
      Why those specific colors?
      Same went for the tape
Even if just barely the color stood out
And the attention span would go to that immediately
It’s quite a nice and interesting thing
However it tends (from my experience) to lead to being overwhelmed in the opposite sequence
Where everything is closed in and looks alike
      The vent chase
Even by watching everyone play it and having the route ingrained in my head, I know if I played it myself I would still get overwhelmed and die over and over.

    • Venitas751 says:

@Jacob Weatherford I mean, it’s not that hard to see

    • Pika the Mimikyu says:

Mark was hallarious, he managed to die before Huggy appeared. He also threw himself into Huggy’s arms because he, and I quote, “Wants a hug.” 🤣🤣🤣

    • Pika the Mimikyu says:

@Ollie Valentine every true, if I played it I would be losing my mind. It seems so scary 😅

  10. atomic says:

My theory was that the protagonist is actually a toy. That’s why we never see are real hands and there’s no fall damage. Also I theorised that huggy is not the experiment the protagonist is because experiment is said to be missing but there are screams in the background of the audio of the scientist and that seems like huggy was on a rampage and not missing so if huggy was 1006 why would the scientist say he was missing because we the protagonist is 1006
