*For anyone wanting context for this vid and collaboration, look below (potential spoilers).*

So Gorillaz brand band and the G-Shock watches brand, are doing something extra special.
It’s the G-Shocks 35th anniversary, and they are celebrating it with a miniseries of animated adventures (and a new watch model) where the Gorillaz are on a mission (M101) to discover/fullfill Kikou Ibe’s (the creater of G-Shock watches) dream. Ibe is also a friend of Noodle, per her instagram.

Anyhoo, Ibe’s dream is to see *aliens* and humans together wearing his watch. He is so excited by humanity’s technological progression and exploration of space, and it all alluding to this possible scenario in the near future, he thinks of such a commonplace scene maybe happening one day.
Given G-Shock’s many functions and primary durability, it sure sounds like it would come in handy for any space traveller’s needs. Lol what a target consumer tho~ ✋Aliens✋

More so, what a treat it is to make such dream come true for one man; and likewise to see a portrayal of one’s dream come true (albeit outside of reality). This is an interesting, meaningful and fun brand campaign so far. Looking forward to next episode 🙂
