They don’t always see eye to eye, but Nightwing and Red Hood can agree on one thing — protect Gotham at all costs. #GothamKnights

I’m hyped to see the final version of the game! As of right now I think the combat looks too stiff and needs to be more fluid like the old Arkham games.

    • Kman Gaming says:

Yeah that’s the only thing at the moment that I don’t know about is the combat yeah it said the gameplay isn’t final so they can make it better but that’s only thing right now that I think needs a little bit of work

    • Dan the man says:

I mean atleast the combat isn’t as stiff as the avengers game

    • Eustace says:

@R.H i think with the added co-op u have to slow down the gameplay it just wouldn’t be possible if the gameplay was like the Arkham games. Imagine both players being able to just instantly fight a different goon on the other side of the room at the same time like Batman did, would look terrible lowkey if u can imagine what I’m saying

    • Dilinji says:

I think they’re on their way to making it more fluid, compared to the first gameplay we got it feels a lot more like arkham

  2. JUMJUM 6570 says:

Red hood looks a little stiff but I guess that makes sense since he’s really buff in this. Would be cool if that soul magic could be put into attacks

  3. Xavier says:

The devs actually listened and removed the enemy health bars and damage numbers, this is looking fantastic so far, can’t wait to see more of the villians

  4. Akadius says:

Looks good. My only real concern is that it looks like the 4 characters have elemental themes that seem pretty forced, like Red Hood with magic and Nightwing with ice.

    • Mythic 1 says:

@Oliver Kjell he has the power to do so in the current comics run. It makes sense, just isn’t cool

    • Oliver Kjell says:

Red hoods mystical jumps are cool but make no sense

    • Fer-pololono says:

@Ch4z_Bucks idk if you have read some of the comics but they just made canon that red hood does have some powers but he rarely uses them and they are nothing like what was shown in the game

    • Nigar the Terrible says:

Yeah that was weird. I’m not sure if this game will be very good when it’s out but hey I’m willing to be proven wrong.

    • Dallasfan2468 says:

Yea im not a big fan of red hood having magic to travel around the roof tops, kind of weird and feels out of place to me.

  5. Quinn Lee-Newbury says:

Oh man I’m so excited for this. I really hope combat has counter options and not just dodging, but aside from that it looks super fun

    • Death Row Batman says:

@Buddyearl Wyatt Yeah it looks like it. They replaced the lightning things for circles, we’ll just have to wait and see how this turn out

    • Buddyearl Wyatt says:

I’m not certain but I think the white circles before they hit are like the Arkham games when it says when to block the attack

  6. Dre says:

Looks fun to play. With a bit more polishing up especially for the next gen versions, it’s gonna be great.

    • Cerebral Assassin says:

@YoshioKST-Plays the current canon has it. It’s explained in the red hood and the outlaws(bizzaro & artemis) and Redhood outlaw. He got powers in a way from this tribe.

    • YoshioKST-Plays says:

      @Ranjefly which run?

    • Ranjefly says:

Redhood in the comics got powers because of his revival from the Lazarus Pit.

  8. To Have [S]EX With Me T[A]P Me!! says:

So far, my highlights are BatFam moments in the Belfry, stealth mechanics, and gear setups. I’m hoping for improvements in combat, as it seems there are some wrinkles to iron out still. I’m excited!

Things that concern me about this game:

The crafting system: gathering resources from enemies etc is going to become tedious very fast. There seems to be so many different resources which is very likely to be a way to artificially make the game longer by getting the player to farm said resources. Now if the gameplay loop is fun enough that isn’t always a problem, but the way the resources are displayed (when enemies are killed they drop a fortnite like resource) it just looks out of place and breaks immersion.

The multiplayer aspect: Now CO-OP is great and exploring gotham with a friend is a great idea. However whenever a game comes with multiplayer, micro transactions are just around the corner and to me this game could very much be a sellout. The absence of Rocksteady’s hand in the project, the ones that started and mastered the Arkham series of games makes me concerned about micro transactions and the influence that they will have in the game.

Taking about Rocksteady, their absence can already be felt in the gameplay footage. Animations feel stiff, the world looks off… less alive..? And UI elements feel tacky. All these new superpowers/ultimate abilities being added feel out of place for a game like this imo.

I do not have high hopes for this game. But I hope WB Montreal shows us what they are capable of and deliver an interesting take on the arkham series. (I know it’s more of an arkham spinoff but still)

    • Scum03 says:

I agree with everything you said except the Arkham/Rocksteady stuff. Rocksteady is done with Batman. That’s why you don’t see their hand in this. Don’t go in expectations or an interesting take on the Arkham Series because this is its own universe set apart from the Arkham universe

    • Buddyearl Wyatt says:

From I recall this has nothing to do with the Arkham series what so ever. The idea might have came from the Arkham games but they’ve already used all four characters in the game.

    • Tim Lyons says:

No its a standalone game. Not connected to the Arkham universe in any way. The new Suicide Squad game is connected to the Arkhamverse. Is it really that hard for people to understand??

    • stinkfist75 says:

Seems like you’re just way too op in this, if a game isn’t challenging then it’s not very fun (for me) the normal enemies look like they just stand around too often and don’t attack much.

    • Tobi says:

I wouldn’t put all your faith in Rocksteady either. KTJL is going to have micro transactions as well. This is just WBs influence

I think this game is gonna be bad, but I’m still going to play it. Game demos normally show the best of what a game has and if this is it, it’s gonna be a sub par game.

    • Samsquanch03 says:

It looks to much like a high quality mobile game to me. The fighting looks really stiff without any flow and the UI in the menus and gameplay look very low quality and way they tie elements to the characters and give them powers is a little ridiculous. Isn’t the whole point of batman is to be strong and consistent without any powers?

    • BigMo says:

At least the map is huge
