This is how you do a reboot. Looks awesome. Danny is just Frank and I love it
“I don’t know how many years I got left. I’m gonna get real weird with it.”
@Wade B Now block the wind while I roast this bone
I wouldn’t even call it a reboot, this is just a completely different and better movie
But why that much dislikes?

0:28 – Dueling Ghosts from the Ballroom Segment of Ride
0:32 – Extended Corridor
0:50 – Hatbox Ghost
0:53 – Madame Leota
01:06 – Chair identical to “Doom Buggies”
01:10 – Stretching Room
01:13 – Organ Player

What an incredible, comprehensive list! 😃 This should have a thousand likes
Honestly, I still can’t process the fact that they managed to get the doombuggies into this. These trailers are already worth it. Hopefully, the full movie lives up to the hype.
Actually the entire segment from 0:14 to 0:24 is the bride sequence (at least in Magic Kingdom). It was added after a refurb about a decade ago. They have an entire sequence of headless husbands, with the bride and her ax at the end. (“I do, I did.” Lol…)
Also at 0:28 and 1:03 is the Library, complete with busts. That’s in Magic Kingdom’s version, but not in Disneyland’s, I think.
1:19 That’s the door something’s trying to get out of, just before Madam Leota.
1:43 It’s set in New Orleans, of course, lol.
@Kafuuu It will. Give it time.
I’M EXCITED FOR JAMIE LEE CURTIS!!!!!
As somebody who loves the theme park ride, I’m really interested in this.
It’s already been done… It starred Eddie Murphy
@John Powell well yeah. I know that. But I feel like this one looks more interesting than the Eddie Murphy one.
Second trailer and it’s looking even better. love that it’s sticking to a very creepy feel and seems to reduce the humor quite a bit. Was very uncertain originally, but now I’m all in on this.
Yeah, what killed the original movie for me, was that it was way too goofy and not scary enough. But the humor here is great. Owen Wilson as an exorcist is just amazing!
It didn’t reduce the humor, if anything it’s worse and cheap. Just forced humor
And it’s a shame too because it does have that creepy effect. These modern studios an producers just want to incorporate humor into everything
For this movie though, they’re probably gonna take away all the comedy away from the mansion ghosts and give it to the human characters, despite the original ride perfectly mixing comedy and horror together, instead of it only being scary or funny.
Haunted Mansion 2003: Trying to be too funny.
Haunted Mansion 2023: Trying to be too scary.
@Sam That’s exactly what they’re gonna do because that’s what Disney does when they think it’s the only way they can make profit….it’s a pathetic strategy. And nobody said the movie had to be all scary and creepy…..it’s a Disney movie after all that makes no sense bud. But obviously there are ways to differentiate and normalize it in a way that works for all critics and fans. It’s just pure greed on Disney’s part and they just took the idea as an excuse to profit, not caring how it looks. It’s whatever makes the most money
Finally, a revive old character from the old version of the ride 1:20
Who?
A character?
@CrimsonSnake1 the ghost with the hat, I believe. The Hatbox Man. Introduced earlier in the ride’s history, then taken away and reintroduced in 2015.
@Joel Make Go HaHa (and other stuff.) they even use more lines from the Rhine Word for Word
I mean ride
So long as Raven Symone sings about superstition, I’m all in.
This actually looks pretty scary for a Disney movie
Well, in fact, it’s gonna be rated PG-13
@Christian GalvanI bet the children are going to be terrified when they see this film!😆😱
It’s not PG so no
If Disney can pull off a scary movie, that would be really something worth celebrating
LaKeith has to be the coolest actor in Hollywood.
Nah.
