@Nadia Rey You are projecting more of your ideas onto the show than really taking into account the characters and their actions. Nothing about Stella’s character or intents has ever changed, we as the viewer have been given snippets of her life with Stolas, and I find that Stolas is a reliable narrator in this scenario. The creator (Vivzie) has chosen what elements and pieces we should see in background shots, to further our speculations and weave the story. Character assassination usually occurs when the creator chooses to build up a character, and then through events of the story dismantle that character thus the audience can have justification for hating them; thus, the creator can write out that character. The viewer from the beginning has known and speculated about Stella and Stolas relationship, based on the media and our personal experiences with similar situations in a real world setting. This episode does further fill in the gaps that Stolas was the stable and warm character we have been led to believe, through his explanation to his daughter about how everything went wrong, taking blame and responsibility for his wrongs, and his efforts to try and fix the situation – with his daughter, because Stella is a lost cause. And maybe at the beginning while Stolas and Stella were young, they tried to make it work – maybe Stolas made himself believe – like with is encounter with Blitzø he misunderstood his intents and didn’t want to see the truth – he wanted to believe Stella loved him, or would love him. And maybe for a while it did work between them. But it was a lineage relationship, and Stella has been shown to the viewer to only hate Stolas now because he is nothing like her family ties or the same mindset – abusive, power hungry, narcissistic, and privileged. A good story will leave a lot to the viewer for interpretation, however you wanted to see something else from this media that was not delivered. Vivzie could have orchestrated these episodes to tell a dozen different stories, but I appreciate the way she choreographed this relationship and its portrayal and numerous viewers are satisfied that the foreshadowing had payoff. But it’s been up a few hours, and its been a while since the first few episodes have been available. Maybe go back and have a watch and see if you still think Stella was written in a way to villainize her. I like Stella’s villain portrayal, it feels authentic, but only because we’ve lived through 2020 and we have videos of people like that just being over the top. And we’re gonna see more of this character, because she does despise Stolas, and I know shit is going to hit the fan because this bitch has power, influence, and she is petty as all fuck.
