Here’s why I’m officially quitting Apple Laptops.

After many years using MacBook variants I’ve made the switch to Windows. I’ve used every version of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air that have been released. My current laptop of choice is the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon / Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme.Turns out switching from Mac to Windows isn’t as painful as I expected.

This is not a positive of buying a Macbook.

It is, shows you got money and some taste for elegant (but dysfunctional) hardware.

It shows you got money but are the “I like to follow trends” half of the people who got money, still not a positive thing…

Hope you’re looking forward to the ‘high cpu, high memory, high disk’ game you’ll inevitably be playing.

    • charcoal man l says:

+Tom Riddle either remove every single piece of bloatware from it or just use windows 7/8 or get a better computer

    • Tom Riddle says:

+charcoal man l I have removed the bloatware, it has windows 10, 8GB ram and runs like shit. So yep, I got a better computer, it’s called a MacBook. The Windows laptop is now a 1k paperweight. Never again.

    • Don Barboza says:

+Tom Riddle” i haf windows 10 and 8gb of RAM”, yeah bro move on, you were never meant for the windows community anyway ?????

  8. Klumsy Kameleon says:

Most people that still use Apple products don’t realise or don’t care much about functions and features. They just care about the Apple logo.

*Vote for my comment to make it seen please, there are important things to cover*:
Keyboard isn’t the single problem. There are A LOT: 1. Staingate. It’s known for 7 years already and no fix yet! Yes, replacement program blah blah, but this is not a solution – new units are getting stained too, replacement is ludicrously expensive; 2. Speakers – how the heck should I call the situation when SOFTWARE CAN DESTROY YOUR SPEAKERS?! How could that even be possible? The amplifier must not be able to do that AT ALL, but it does. And replacement is the whole top cover. Srsly?!; 3. No SD reader? That’s an utter nonsence! It must be there and no other answer accepted; 4. T2 instability and SSD encryption – total bs! It simply blocks you from even reinstalling the system on your own computer!; 5. Soldered in ssd. INSANE! You’ll not be able even recover your data once it’s failed; 6. Touchbar – a problem itself, but there’s no option to get rid of that bs; 7. Overall service politics which you don’t see. There are many, many ways to block you from fixing your own hardware, for instance, you can’t check now which sensors are failing if they do, but failing sensor will force your 3000$+ machine to throttle to the absolute bottom and spin the coolers all the way up. And this is only a single instance!
Why, WHY do we all are convinced that’s normal? We must say it loudly and clearly – THAT’S UNACCEPTABLE!

  15. Önder TARIM says:

This is the result of Apple’s greediness under Tim Cook management. They ruined Mac line-up after their “making always thinner and lighter” habit. These devices turned into underpowered, overheating and much overpriced. Yet, they make people move to iOS devices. They still don’t understand the importance of x86 apps.
We had a 15″ tb mbp, a 12″ mb and a 13″ ntb mbp and all had their keyboards replaced because of that issue.

    • The Keeper says:

I feel I need to clarify here:
It might be *among* the fastest…
for about 1.5 seconds before it thermal-throttles like a motherfucker.

    • Per Karlsson says:

      +The Keeper
Thats not true. Why are you so clueless?

    • ananixon says:

+Per Karlsson They have outdated processors though. Can’t cool the newest processors efficiently enough with all that metal

    • Glenn Moore says:

+Per Karlsson I own both – and I can tell you straight that the MacBook Pro throttles so badly it’s a joke, the IBM flogs it in almost every possible way and its not even as fast on paper no doubt in reality. You need to wake up and smell the stench of the rotten apple.

  16. Infinite says:

Apple sacrifices usability for aesthetics…. They think the future is less features with a sleek design, but they don’t realize were still in the building features phase and the sleekness comes after the devises are advanced enough to become smaller.

The only fault is the these laptops having issues with framerate when playing videos online.

    • The Great Cheese The Poutine says:

+ananixon he wouldn’t have ever seen current speeds- So for this lad its never been slow cause that’s the standared he’s been dealing with since 2008. Going on a modern laptop from 2019 would be like being in jail 10years and realize everything you knew just changed
