imagine returning to your country as the first gold medalist. incredible accomplishment, congrats
@Emiliano Rodriguez its not the medal counts
Ignore Emilian Rodriguez, please. This person is obviously trying to make people angry and directing it to China. Please report him for spreading hate. I’m Chinese and I’m extremely happy and proud for Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz to win. I teared up because we all know she worked hard for it!
@Emiliano RodriguezMANNY PAQUIAO THE MEXICAN KILLER
@Emiliano Rodriguez doesn’t matter how many medals you got in the pass. What matters who won it in this Olympic. She beat China’s player. That’s all that matters now.
@efawe wekfow All of the people who did the weigh-lifting in the video are girls. Not dudes
That is SO awesome. I’m proud for her and the Philippines!
@Vitality Massage, congratulation Vitality, Are you full or half filipino?
USA is better
@Aj nobody asked tho
Thank you
@Aj A childish comment.
I cried not gonna lie that was so epic
As a Filipino American, I’m overjoyed for the Philippines!…. Mabuhay Hildilyn!
That Filipino woman was hyped she knew she was gonna win. Thats confidence and determination. Thats what the Olympics is all about. Congrats to her.

Congratulations!
I got teary-eyed and I’m American. This is the kind of story I love about the Olympics. I don’t care about the sports or athletes that are shoo-ins to win. I get bored with the US, Russia, and China (plus a few others) always winning. I want to see more of this.
i cried too. I am so happy for your country. congratulations!!!
FUN FACT: The Philippine Olympic committee didn’t give funding to support Hidilyn. She did it on her own to fund the trip. In return, she gave the country their first Gold medal in nearly 100yrs of trying since their first Olympics in France -1924.
*God bless, everyone.*

Sad- Philippines only funds basketball, which we’re not even the greatest at
TRUE! Sen.Manny insist but his co-league’s opposed it.
True
If she didn’t get sponsored, then she has the freedom to charge the Philippine O.C. and everyone else as much as she wants for all her appearances, endorsements++
that’s amazing!!
Proud to be Filipino 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 we winning! Mabuhay!
Fun fact: she had to fundraise in order to go participate in the Olympics since the Philippines did not support her. She also trained with water jugs due to lack of access to proper equipment. What a fucking queen.
Wow she is amazing!!!!!!!
