If everything was historically accurate in our media…I wonder what our humor would actually be like?
@Dances With Incels bro really use dissimilar as if the word “different” didn’t exist 🤓
dark as fuck id imagine.
Much darker
We would actually find frozen…funny 🤯
You’re lookin’ at it, Hoss.
Nobody said seeing a train wreck with your own eyes breeds reason & brotherly love.
That which doesn’t kill you (but gave it a solid attempt) leaves you scarred and disfigured.
They should have included this deleted scene in the film. They could have defeated Avatar in profits.
I think this series is supposed to be “historically accurate” in jest, but the extreme accuracy of the Pocahontas episode has me confused.
@TheReaverOfDarkness India back then was called Hindustan, and Nort America was already known back then, so they wouldn’t have been confused as to where they were. Neither wes Taj Mahal built yet. Also, Pocahontas would’ve been naked, and they would have met on the beach, not forest. They also wouldn’t have been wearing armor; they were normal settlers, not an army. Brits also already knew what the sun was and the flintlock pistol’s hammer would’ve been on the other side. Also anywhere an English settler set their foot, English law would be instantly enforced there. So technically he couldn’t have had sex with her for another yeat be he could’ve married her.
Little nuggets of truth. Scandinavia was not a fun place to live before the industrial revolution.
Could be worse, could be Canada/Russia.
@Prime Mate such as?
Pocahontas was dressed in actual clothing here. So not quite “historically accurate,” thank goodness. She really did know English by 12 years old and how to talk to British men, though.
It really wasn’t. A lot of stuff was missed.
The Norweigan optimism is pretty spot on.
I must be one of the few pessimistic Norwegians, then hahaha
icelands motto is “þetta reddast” which means “It will all work out okay”. fyi its not working out, get me the fuck off of this island
When you’re stuck in what’s very often they are frozen hell for a good chunk of the year a positive attitude can quite literally be the difference between life and death
Very realistic!
yeah the Norwegians at my school pretty much like this except now they have heating 😎👍
I love how she was pregnant after giving birth, and then she wasn’t pregnant
@Captain WARLORD people always mistaking simple errors for “4d chess” moves..
WhY DoNt yOU dO yoUr mAgiC
I think it was a frame mistake perhaps or just a “joke”?
Hey. Stop noticing stuff.
@The Dazzling Ape To be clear, I don’t blame them. Might even be coincidental, but this is FlashGitz we are talking about. I like to entertain the idea that it was done on purpose, because those two fellas are smart like that and the times are harsh.
I’m impressed that they got Varg and Tom’s wife to star in this one.
@aleidius According to the podcast Tom keeps her locked up and feeds her starbursts.
😂😆😂😂
Varg would’ve gone on a rant about Christianity.
This is a joke I’m sure Tom’s wife is a beautiful woman I’m so sorry.
The amount of detail put into that root shot is both impressive and disturbing. Well done, gents.
How human survived in this era is beyond me.
@Steve LoeschkeThe average life expectancy of 30 is a bit misleading. High infant mortality skews the statistics. In truth. Once you made it to 5, your chances of long life improved significantly.
@I, CATO SICARIUSI think they mean stronger as in the ability to endure hardship. Which I’m pretty sure is actually toughness but whatever.
@TrueUnderDawgGaming Absolutely this. Winter put a huge amount of pressure on northern peoples to invent new ways of doing things in order to survive. It wasn’t just survival of the fittest, but also survival of the smartest.
You could, well I don’t know maybe pick up a book here and again and try learning about ot
@Myriri Modern perception of the past is completely twisted and just plain ignorant. Mostly due to left wing indoctrination in schools by biased academics. ANd Hollywood portrayal of those times.
Infant mortality was higher than today yes, BUT, once they made it past the Toddler stage, the average life expectancy was actually around 60. So pretty close to today. They were MUCH healthier than we are. Had stronger bones, immune systems, muscles etc.
I had 4 cavities by the time I was 10…… meanwhile all these people’s remains STILL have ALL their teeth in perfect condition after dying and being in the ground for 1000+ years
“You know the Christian’s believe all babies go heaven which is this super rad place I personally don’t really believe it” lmao my favourite line out of this video
I love how she was pregnant after giving birth, and then she wasn’t pregnant… it’s genius
