The movie wasn’t about Moana’s coming-of-age story, it was about Maui’s. As stated, Moana was already a strong, independent young woman. But, Maui, over time, had become a selfish demi-god that needed Moana’s help in re-aligning his spiritual compass. I think the best Disney movie it can be compared to is Beauty and the Beast… angry antagonist that’s lost his way, endearing protagonist that helps him find it.

I think it would be awesome if they made Lilo a Disney princess. =D

  3. VizZzion says:

Troy Polamalu probably went over some head but that one had me weak :p

  4. abridgedfan100 says:

“Disney’s Princess Avengers” sounds like an AWESOME idea, but it needs Mulan. Mulan is the EPITOME and the FIRST Disney female protagonist to be her own warrior and badass, the “Captain America” of Disney princesses.

Please do an honest trailer for Mulan.

  5. AND WE DANCE. says:

Thumbs up because you had Nothing bad to say about SHINY.. ✨?✨

  6. Conde Zafiro says:

Please, say: ”No one appears in a Honest Trailer like Gaston!”

  7. Faux Mustache says:

The “nobody goes beyond the reef” thing is a reference to the historical pause in the real world during which polynesians stopped expanding and then suddenly started to again. They rapidly colonized the pacific up until one point in time, then no more for a looong stretch. Then suddenly they busted out and finished colonizing. It’s a mysterious pause. Moana’s plot is based on the pause being due to the events of the film.

Am I the only person begining to notice the “honest trailers” are just becoming “trailers” but they arnt really being honest about anything anymore…

  10. RAYMND says:

moana is like a reverse little mermaid
moana lives on land and isnt allowed to go to the ocean
ariel lives in the ocean and isnt allowed to go on land

  11. Kailee Walden says:

I actually thought How Far Go was kind an anti-Let It Go. The themes were somewhat different.

  12. Jordan Herkowski says:

Step 1. Call for more diversity among Disney princesses.
    Step 2. Disney makes Moana.
Step 3. Call it cultural appropriation.

  13. AlphaleaderGaming says:

Disliked when they said Dwayne Johnson couldn’t sing

  14. Uzumakis says:

Dude! The rock song was the best song in the movie,

  15. GeneralEmperor says:

Honest Trailers: Are we building up to Disney Princess Avengers?

Disney: That’s actually not such a bad idea…

  16. AJ Estur says:

Well, I like “How Far I’ll Go” better. Frozen can suck it.

  17. Princess Pugly says:

“And not even the ocean gushes as hard as hamilton fans”.
This is coming from the person who’s profile picture is literally Angelica Schuyler… you’re right.

  18. Commander_Ninja says:

Loved everything but I honestly don’t understand the “Rock can’t sing” bit. I honestly thought he sounded great, which makes sense since the song was written to accommodate his limited vocal range. Honestly curious, who thought he sounded great, fine, or terrible? Give me a 1-5 scale, 1 being the lowest.

  19. Aaron Montgomery says:

I actually thought that dwayne johnson did a great job singing
