    Still waiting for The Incredibles

  4. Luminescence says:

I applaud you, HT. You finally exposed P.T for who he really is, and not let the movie just pass by with its historical inaccuracy, despite this being a lovely, “feel good” film. Thank you :3

    • Matt Grimes says:

Yeah, the man who gave people new lives and happiness they never would have seen otherwise. The man who was vehemently anti slavery, totally a bad guy

    • Nux Max says:

The movie isn’t a feel good film. It’s deeply cynical about human nature and more to the point it doesn’t portray Barnum as good person.

    • Lee Keels says:

And really, what good is that? It doesn’t change how anyone feels about the movie…it’s awesome!

  5. Calvin Matthews says:

Do Jurassic Park III for the franchises 25th anniversary this month!

  6. Adrian Medeiros says:

This whole movie is BS. That’s why it’s genius! It’s not a movie about the real P.T. Barnum. It’s the movie Barnum would have made about himself

    Do Doctor Who(Tv)

    • Lea says:

-Bora Arda- they have to now. Someone donated 10k for their WIF Charity Event and for that amount she could choose any HT and chose Doctor Who 1963- present. It’s on SJs Twitter 🙂

  11. Simon James says:

How you guys changed the songs was hilarious! The lyrics were on point. Great Honest Trailer!

  12. Simply Leah Style says:

The point of this movie wasn’t to be an accurate documentary. Even though this film isn’t all historically correct, I believe it is a beautiful film sending a great message. It’s an incredible movie with amazing songs 😊

  13. Sam Weth says:

People defending this movie are absurd. The screen writers could of easily just created a fictional character for the lead, but they didn’t. Using such a controversial historical person only taints any well mentioned ideas the musical has. There was an easy out the production didn’t take it, because for some reason musicals about real people seem to be selling right now.

BTW i’m OK with a musical play loose with historical fact, (which is partially why i think a 300 Musical could work) but this just too problematic to forgive.

    • Lysana McMillan says:

“Some reason” = Alexander Hamilton… my name is Alexander Hamilton… (which also plays a bit loose with the history but only to add romantic tension that never existed, which is annoying but somewhat inevitable, especially when the result would be fewer female characters).

And musicals changing, twisting, or ignoring history has happened for quite a while, that’s for sure. Oklahoma!, Pippin, 1776, Gypsy, Chicago, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar…

    • Arif Ridwan Abriyanto says:

      300 musical 😆

    • Greta M. says:

Easy. Producers were just fishing for a controversy.

    • Srivikram Sundararajan says:

Keep in mind that “The Darkest Hour” never emphasized any of Churchill’s racist tendencies. That movie was acclaimed. Double standards are real

    • Lee Keels says:

Learn the language…it’s “could’ve” or “could have” but NEVER “could of”…that’s a nonsense phrase that means absolutely nothing in English.

  14. Coraline Parmentier - Pianist for Peace says:

Zac Efron as “Old School Musical”, I’m sold XD

  15. Semantic Samuel says:

Songs = good, film = bad. The marketing department for TGS deserve all the awards – I swear it was on every social media channel everywhere I looked in the month or two running up to its release. Anyway, thanks for making this Honest Trailer properly honest and informative! PT was not a nice guy.

    • Elliot Wilson says:

Semantic Samuel yeah I was the same, I absolutely loved La La Land so I was hyped for this and it just didn’t quite live up, I think in comparison it’d just not as cleverly written, it doesn’t have the same complexity to it as la la land and the story line is all very cheesy and predictable. Saying all that, surprisingly perhaps I did like TGS a lot, but I’d comfortably choose la la land any day of the week

    • Semantic Samuel says:

I would never have seen La La Land if it wasn’t for my sister. I was back at my parents’ house over the weekend and my sister was desperate to see it, so I went with her. Not the sort of film I’d ever have picked out to go and see myself, but I’m glad I did! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy TGS in terms of a cinematic experience – it’s a brilliantly made film. I just found the treatment of Barnum a bit unsavoury.

    • ashim choudhury says:

Nope. That’s not accurate. It did well on WOM not marketing.

    • Nux Max says:

The film doesn’t portray Barnum as a good person if you actually follow the text of the movie.

    • Lee Keels says:

Had nothing to do with social media. People saw it and it took off like wildfire. People are going back again and again. It’s not the #3 musical of all time for nothing!

  16. Semantic Samuel says:

How about a Black Mirror Honest Trailer?

  17. EternalDensity says:

I think you put more effort into this than the writers behind the movie.

  18. Chief Ed says:
