I didn’t think that it is going to happen, but now I am hyped. Thanks for the video!

  2. Senkey15 says:

The best thing about this new series is Alt Shift coming back to ASOIAF videos ❤️

  3. Fire Truck says:

OMG YES! You’re back at it again with ASOIAF-related videos!! CAN”T WAIT!! YOU ARE LITERALLY WHAT MADE ME HYPE FOR THESE SHOWS!!

      Could not agree more

im sure many can relate, but watching their videos is what got me interested in the books and ultimately reading them. now im finish off fire and blood (at least the parts related to the tv show) and i couldnt be more excited to see their videos. for once i’ve read the books before the show has come out. will be very exciting to say the least

I’ve tried to read the book and in preparation for the TV-series I’ve again tried to get to know the characters in order to fully grasp the show from the get go but failed miserably. There are just too many Targaryens with same or similar names and I never really got who is related to whom and in what way. But you have a really good way of explaining things with simple visuals. This was a really great summary!

    • Taytay Queen says:

It’s interesting because George has actually spoken about how he was advised to make sure all names sound very different, but he decided against it lol

    • Samantha B says:

Years ago I read a historical novel set during the War of the Roses. They all had the same names! I wound up printing out a family tree to help.

    • Shiku Bah says:

@reza F It really isn’t that hard I think if you’re really interested and invested in the world and stories your excitement about reading these fantasy historical events trumps the difficulty of remembering specific facts or names. Over time you estuary exponentially understand the names like it’s 2nd nature but that comes after you’ve become invested into the world more.

    • Darryl M says:

There’s a family tree in the back of Fire and Blood and it helps a lot. That’s what it’s there for

    • reza F says:

Wasn’t that hard. And English isn’t my first language

when i tell you that i’m equally excited for the alt shift x videos on house of the dragon than i am for the actual episodes

  6. Xavier says:

I’m excited for Bran to make a multiversal cameo with blood raven powers, to give the Targaryens the gift of the Wheelchair

  7. DERJ says:

Excellent video as always. Cannot wait for your weekly analyses of the show! 🙂

  8. Sean TankTop says:

This is like all the going back to (Sweet) Summer camp. Very stoked on your new stuff ASX! Looking forward to it boss!

  9. Maciej says:

I’m curious about Olivia Cooke’s character, she’s a great actress and Alicent is giving some Cersei and Margaery vibes… Great video, can’t wait for another recaps! 😁

    • david lewis says:

@Spoons Alicent is NOT docile. Don’t be fooled.

    • Joe Parrigen says:

      She was great in “Thoroughbreds”

    • Paddy Bateman says:

@mst3KGf not really. Cersei was a psychopath she threw a girl down a well when she was a teen. Alicent is more like Sansa or catelyn. I think Rhaenyra is a mix of dany and Cersei

    • mst3KGf says:

She’s very much like Cersei, with her father Otto Hightower basically being a proto-Tywin. The difference is, Alicent has more sympathetic qualities than Cersei does and has some self-reflection and awareness of her own faults that Cersei never had.

    • Jacob says:

@Spoons And didn’t get married to a dude that suddenly brought home somebody else’s baby boy, after being gone to war for a year. So not as bitter. lol

  10. Aaron Evans says:

I’ve been binging your twin AltSchwiftX’s abridged series for this past week or so. Let’s see if his nerd brother can measure up to the train-like efficiency of his videos.
