It’s crazy how part of me is laughing but then part of me is mourning since I’ve heard of some mangaka/animators hands being raw with discoloured open flesh and dried blood, unable to spend time with their families, becoming depressed/suicidal, struggling to support their families and even dying at their desks.
It may not be my right to speak on Japanese culture but when people are literally dying I feel so sad that partaking in my favourite hobby supports these evil and predatory black companies.
This is actually a great way to bring attention to how undervalued animators & artist in japan & korea are while their works generate billions for corporations.
It’s sad because this is probably accurate 😂
