Merchant can you not talk during the exclusive premiere intro as I am not able to watch it live and I can’t hear the dialogues over your talking. I don’t mean to be rude it is just a request.
They have taken out and changed some pictures from the LTM Control info page, why is this???? The one on this video had an alternator but not now, no more in game moving images.

I have one worry about the 9v9 mode…disconnectors. If we haven’t learned anything from the Train Games, I’m afraid these quitters might negatively impact the 9v9 mode as well. I mean I even had teammates leaving their first death in train games, even though we had plenty of rounds left. I’m hoping this isn’t a problem but I’m worried it might be.
I heard about a thing where if you leave a match twice in one day you’ll start getting a penalty even out of ranked
Apparently you respawn back in and get back into the action pretty quickly so I think we are good

I really hope they make it a permanent mode because it’ll be a great way to practice aiming for weapons you don’t normally use.

@kek try 1v1 against friends in fr or active the ee I do that it’s good for target practice, other than that hot drop pubs
@Dippity Dab honestly firing range only helps with recoil control and thats it. Tracking and hipfire and stuff like that is impossible in firing range

I’m so glad Apex is doing skin sets for the legends, it’s so satisfying to look at skins with matching designs; Also I like how the legends they chose all have a story/plotline/interactions with each other. Fuse/Maggie->Fuse/Bloodhound. Caustic/Revenant->Gibraltar/Caustic. Crypto/Mirage->Crypto/Wattson. Loba/Bangalore/Valk.
Hopefully, we get a Octane/Lifeline -> Octane/Seer
I think they’re showcasing it to easier see who your teammates are in the new mode

That Bloodhound skin is absolutely immaculate. If you can only get it from buying everything from the collection I’m gonna be in shambles though
I bet the skin is gonna be of heirloom rarity. At least that makes the most sense to me

@Arthur Chen well we already saw an evolving weapon skin in the trailer, unless the bloodhound skin will be the lvl 110 skin instead of a recolour

Not enough chat about mad Maggie here, she could be insane! Really has a chance of breaking into the meta even in pro gameplay, the passive will make her tactical very strong, if you weaken someone and they hide behind a wall/door the passive will highlight them and the tactical can show knock them, the ultimate may be immense for a team push aswell

@MyWaifuIsBetterThanUrs I’m a valk main but seeing her abilities I could definitely see her being useful in ranked lobbies think about it majority of ur fights u try take cover for instance final zone 7 squads left ur Maggie u know a team is playing behind a rock on edge of zone it says her drill burns enemies through obstacle’s all u have to do is wait for zone to start closing fire the drill at the rock they’re playin that’s their only cover not to mention they are highlighted u may not know who all is on that team u see their character outline u now know there is a Gibby a horizon and a bloodhound u now know to look out for black holes and bubble plays all this information plus damage you’ve dealt on a team without even using her ultimate so yea I could definitely see her being picked quite often in ranked and comp

The amount of effort and time they put into creating Control really makes me believe it will become permanent one day.
@3ndeavor yup when mw and warzone came out they made groundwar maps take place in the br map cause its just easier that wya rather than put effort and build new fresh maps
@JOHN TORRES for real, just like all the maps currently in rotation for arenas are all original maps
Was hoping it wasnt going to be like arenas wheres the locations are in the br map. Hopefully eventually they have maps that dont take place in the br map cause it feels really lazy of them since all they have to do is pllace points and block that section in br map
I really do hope they make it a permanent mode, it will be a good mode to practice you aim for some weapons you don’t normally use
Honestly I feel like Control is what people wanted Arenas to be. Hopefully it does good enough that it replaces Arenas or just stays permanent. It seems like a nice relief from BR all the time.
@M J I feel ya, I say meant because to me that is where it was going. when I first heard of it my response was, “this is the first step to having more than just a BR.” I think respawn had to see it work before putting in the effort. The sad part for me is that we keep trying to push teamwork and the majority of the community would rather not. The game was debuted as a team oriented game and since day one people have asked for solos when they could just communicate and play together.
I am hoping this will be different because it looks like so much fun.
@NiMo2380 I’m not saying Arenas isnt or wasn’t a good stepping. I just cant agree that Arenas was ever MEANT to be a stepping stone. When it was announced everyone for the most was stoked about it. Then it just lead to people complaining about the lack of an objective rather than just kill the other team, teammates leaving mid game, and the bad match making system (eventually it got ranked).
Control shouldn’t (I would not expect it to) have match making based on criteria and most likely is still gonna have teammates leaving mid game. BUT it will have encourage unity and teamwork. So even if its like a 7 v 9 you could still win because of said teamwork. In Arenas if you were up or down a player that literally dictates the game. And if it is a 3v3 it usually comes down to who gets the first knock unless one of the teams is all on comms. Either way we both agree that Control looks pretty good. Regardless of Arenas being a stepping stone or not.
Arenas was always meant to be the stepping stone, in my opinion. Arenas showed us that gamemodes like TDM, CTF, SND, and domination are all possible in this game. Arenas will always be one of the biggest things they could have done because of the door it opened for new game modes, a massive foot note in the evolution of this game.
Control would basically be Apex’s equivalent to Fortnite’s Team Rumble in some ways.
It would allow you to actually train against other players using weapons you think you need to improve aiming on.
