As a former Arbys employee, I know they actually have the meat mountain on the register. It was the first item I was told about in training. I’ve had four different people order it in the year I worked there. It’s a pretty scary looking sandwich 😬
At my Arby’s, there is a story of the “night of the meat mountain” where some loser ordered like 12 of those in one order

Similar story with subway. I can’t remember what the name of the sandwich is but it has all the meats on it. It was like $20 but it had an option on the register. I wish I could remember the name lol
I used to work at chipotle back in 2017. There was an item HQ specifically told us not to make. Of course we still had an OG in the crew that would make it every time someone asked for it. B)
The item was a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla. Yes, a quesorrito. The reason why we had to stop making it was because employees were burning their hands on molten cheese while wrapping the quesoritto. But that OG didnt give a hoot. Hands down best chipotle item to date.

They actually have them in the registers usually. There is way more off-the-shelf products than people realize and like 99% of places have some.
Right as someone who’s worked fast food her whole life I know that it’s just a menu item and attachments to that menu item never a button that says what their allegedly calling it is always a menu item added with whatever else they wanted added. The receipt would tell it all
