3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

3:16 ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Josh deserved so much better in that first movie

    • Crystal Ice says:

@Christy thank you!!! 😊 like the movie itself isn’t INHERENTLY racist but when you take into account the type of people that get casted as love interests in these type of movies and how THIS movie played out, it just rubbed me the wrong way honestly.

    • Christy says:

@Cartoon Hangout i think the point they were making wasn’t that this character in an of itself is racist, but when u look at hallmark and christmas romcoms as a whole and how the ONLY viable love interests are white people & the loving partner who is essentially perfect in every way is tossed aside for a happy ending with another white person, it paints a questionable picture. like, if u look at the movie by itself out of context its not racist, but in context? when u know that the black characters are basically never casted as the final love interests? definitely makes me raise my eyebrows a bit

    • Cartoon Hangout says:

@Robin Bodare I don’t think just cause he happened to be black and she left him is close to being racist. You guys are looking too deeply into it.

    • Christy says:

going to write the only fanfic that exists for this movie just to give josh a happy ending😡

  3. DaymanOurSavior says:

Forget Jack from Titanic, forget Carton from A Tale of 2 Cities, Josh from No Sleep til’ Christmas has the most tragic story in all of fiction

  4. Kati e says:

The first movie is actually a happy story about Josh narrowly dodging a huge bullet by being left at the alter, because the alternative would’ve been a hellish marriage to this awful woman or years of alimony payments. Now he can meet a decent person!

I so badly want Drew to make a series called “It Ony a Movie” where he absolutely rips bad movies apart

  6. This is Lukas says:

Man, that first movie has to be one of the most morally bankrupt Christmas movies I’ve ever seen. 😬

  7. Eddy Burback says:

Drew saying “go off, sis” in the tone of a news anchor who’s never opened twitter is amazing

As someone who lives where they film a lot of these atrociously bad hallmarkian movies; I love watching these.
There’s nothing that drives things further into “what the fucksville” than seeing the cast teleporting around the city mid-conversation.

“that design would have been done in September” unfortunately as someone who is a graphic designer for a very large brand…..the only inaccurate thing is that the vender who would publish the ad wouldn’t work on Christmas, so they’d have to push it up a couple weeks. Christmas Eve is reserved for working on the New Year’s campaign which Holly would still be finishing up because the client forgot to request it earlier because everyone was focused on the Christmas campaign.
