ralph if you still think youtube has garbage tier compression I would suggest you up your game and start analyzing how a codex works. It’s not youtube that is the problem, it hasn’t been since 2019.

To bad they are sold out 🙁

    • Zvonko Belamaric says:

@Mr Outcast Yeah, I cried laughing at that one. My chi-fi IEMS wipe the floor with these for a quarter of the price. Any reputable headphones in this price range make these look so bad its not even funny any more

    • Beppe says:

@Spadesilver 90 are you twelve? That is the most pathetic comment I’ve ever seen

    • Mr Outcast says:

      industry leading sound 😂😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  2. Writing on Games says:

I think that point you make about reading up on Norse mythology is really interesting – obviously it seems wild in this day and age to say “this massive, big budget AAA video game needs you to do your homework to truly appreciate it,” but there were points along the way in my own playthrough where I was thinking “these references are both subtle and yet crucial enough to the story that I really don’t know how it would hit for people that didn’t have some level of investment in the mythology.” Speaks a lot to how much trust the developers put in players that they don’t feel the need to overly explain all this stuff, which is admirable.

    • نو نيم says:

I hope you are going to make a video about it.

    • ProNS_Gaming says:

      Kinda like “Eitr imbued”

    • Chromodar says:

I mean making a game so that it’s lore video friendly is a form of community building at this point, no?

    • Derek Clair says:

This sounds good and all, but I really don’t like having to consume other media in order to enjoy the story from a video game. I’m someone who is perfectly happy to read lore that has been integrated into the world created by the dev but I don’t really have the time to read a book in order to get the most out of the story of the game. Why couldn’t Santa Monica include the crucial lore into the game like so many other RPGs have done in the past?

    • LGK says:

@Rob Durfee English is not my first language so i read most of the stuff in Spanish and German, but i´ll take also a quick look into the Gaiman book, and see how it goes, normaly i search for renoun people in the field, but i´ll give it a go 😉

The only guy I trust to review games lately. Seeing an individual person surpass the quality of major game journalism companies restores my faith in YouTube. Keep up the good work. Love from India

  4. Aaron says:

God tier writing + editing, good on you both Skillup and Austin.

  5. potatoeOnRooftop LPs says:

The moment when the review of the game is as much a spectacle as the game itself. Got goosebumps from your writing dude. Love your content to bits. Thank you so much!

  6. Aodhan Mulholland says:

You can always count on skillup to get the best and most in-depth reviews out there. Thanks so much for no spoilers. I can not wait for Ragnarok! Death can have me when it earns me

  7. Goober says:

Man you and Austin are something else dude. What an incredibly well done review. Your videos are like a really good show at this point. I just click on random reviews of games I have no interest in just because of how entertaining and quality your work is. Thank you.

  8. RICOLIVES116 says:

I can’t stress enough how excited I am for this game

  9. SaiKNito says:

The fact that this game could hit 120fps gives no excuse for Gotham Knights to not even hit 60 on the PS5.

    • Gavin Schaber says:

@Hashim Rahman story was good, combat felt boring, the lights of Gotham at night was pretty but Gotham itself felt very empty and barren it’s supposed to be like New York or LA even at night time there are still tons of people. The crafting system was absolute dog water.

    • Gavin Schaber says:

On PC with a 4090 graphics card Gotham Knights over world was capped at 30 except for very few parts of the game did it go over 60 at all.

    • Isaac Foster says:

@zachdawson1822 So does your mum. And?

    • Jacob Ross says:

This is a ps4 game so no shit lol

    • Anwar says:

Since when did PlayStation players start being like PC players😂

  10. DeusDracones says:

Wait… You can release the review 6 days early?! That’s how you know the developer is 100% confident in the project

    • _Gungrave_ says:

@Non Nin I think you mean Mass Effect 3 given how much of a mess that was. Mass Effect 2 is considered by most fans to be the best game in the franchise.

Honestly the only way the ME franchise can have a good game is if another developer bought the IP because otherwise EA will just fuck up any future sequels with unreallistic deadlines and mictrotransaction BS.

    • _Gungrave_ says:

@Rioplats The sad thing is that its something that mainly exists in the game industry because its not something you see too often in the film, TV, and music industries.

    • ArthropodSpidey says:

It’s kinda dumb of you to not know that.

    • Steve M says:

No they are confident in the project because they know idiots will buy it. Why don’t they send a demo if they are so confident?

    • GRTCARA says:

So it’s confirmed a gloried DLC
