I Tried Wedding Dresses From Wish

I Tried Wedding Dresses From Wish

Ok, here it is, finally, after all of your requests! I bought 4 wedding dresses from Wish.com and tried them out IRL to see how they were! We bought a ballgown, a renaissance dress, a black wedding dress, and a slightly more expensive gown to test out a few different categories.

Now, I have previously bought inexpensive clothing, knockoff electronics, “free” items, and mostly fake makeup from Wish before, with usually the same results: it’s just not that great, and definitely not as good as the item listings seem online. However, I think the convergence of my recent engagement and the desire for more Wish roasting resulted in this: The Wish Wedding Dress Haul. What do you guys think?

The Renaissance dress if you want a true one. The photos are of the real creator called romantic threads. It’s the qwendolyn gown . Highly recommend.

I really liked your first wedding video! When you get your real wedding dress can you also make a video?

    • Denise Cabral says:

Wish ring shopping would be funny. You’d probably either get gumball machine-esque rings that turn your finger green, or something very simple

*Wish is basically Expectation vs. Reality*

    • OriharaIzaya88 says:

My wedding dress was from Wish, I did a lot of research and read all the comments, but eventually, with a few changes, my dress was perfect and I was really happy with it. In my country, for the same dress from a shop or from a tailor, I would spend 15x more money and I don’t think that it would be that much different. Not even one of my guests thought that it was bought on a chinese site, so I think that you can buy something nice on Wish, you just have to read comments and not buy anything blindly.

i feel bad for the workers producing the wish products they probably work in terrible conditions

    • Uschiina says:

I also feel bad for the earth in general: these videos are fun but thinking about the wastefulness and producing these garments I get very anxious

    • Teemeah says:

wish is just a marketplace with sellers, like ebay. wish doesn’t produce any of those items.

    • Uschiina says:

      +Teemeah nobody said it did?

    • Lauren Bro says:

Teemeah I think J.N.P. was saying that they feel bad for the workers that have to make those products in general. Even if Wish just distributes most of the products on their app, people are still probably working in terrible conditions to make them. It’s sad to think about since those products are massively produced. I worry about the workers hours, wages, and health all around. 😞

    • Rawae Ibn Daouia says:

      J. N. P. well if ZARA workers suffer then the ones who produce this stuff must be in horrible conditions of course

I love how she speaks, you can hear every letter.

  10. Ira Sobral says:

Am I the only one who saw the brown stain on the dress and was like: “Blood from the fingers of the child slaves who made it!” ?

  11. Korena says:

I don’t think you should do a black dress necessarily, I think you should do a dress with black accents though. I think it would be super pretty.

  12. laur3n m says:

Is anyone else obsessed whenever saf says “alright”…

    Just me… ok

  13. Amanda Bricker says:

If anyone is actually getting married, my advice to you if you are on a budget is to search foundations that sell used dresses and find out if there is one near you. They are often very affordable next to store bought ones. If you have a long engagement and you get lucky, thrift shops have some and you could get it altered the way you want it.
Third option is get a white formal dress; I actually purchased all my bridesmaids dresses from a reputable seller on amazon and they looked great and my bridesmaids were comfortable/ liked them for like 50.
At the end of the day it really is about you and your partner, I loved my wedding but I’m glad I didn’t spend an exuberant amount on one day. I made it our own in a cost effective way, and you can too!
    Hope that helps!

    • Allison Hunter says:

Plus there is always the David’s Bridal $99 dress sale, they do it every year, and if a bride is willing to go in open minded, and can find a dress that’s super close to what she desires, say maybe its strapless but the bride wants sleeves, buy the dress and ask them to add sleeves to it for you.

    • BambiGottaGun says:

I live in the UK and ordered my dress from a shop called ChiChiLondon for Β£60. It was gorgeous and comfortable. I completely agree that second hand shops are fab for wedding dresses. I’ve seen some stunners.

  14. Moonlit and Polished says:

You should use those dresses for fun bridal shower games. Or your bachelorette party could just be you and your friends going out wearing these dresses πŸ˜‚ Tonight we are all brides!

    • Katherine Yanko says:

Pin-on party favors to the dresses, too LOL. Condoms & other stuff from the naughty store. Make it fun and funny!

    • Moonlit and Polished says:

Man, I really wanna go to this completely hypothetical party πŸŽ‰

    • TroubleMcTrouble says:

With a bit of alteration the ballgown style and the black dress would be good general party dresses – but the others are awful…..sadly though they were probably made in a Chinese sweatshop by stressed and underpaid workers, so to expect a knock off to be as good as the original was misguided to say the least. But at least this was shown so, hopefully, it’ll stop other people from being disappointed an maybe help put these sweatshops out of business.

    • Katherine Yanko says:

+Moonlit and Polished Right?!? Decorating the outfits would be so much fun LOL. 😁

    • Anadalay Martinez says:

Katherine Yanko Maybe not pinning condoms.. we don’t want any accidents πŸ˜‚
