If this genuinely manages to be good alongside the movies, we’re officially in the Sonic renaissance

  2. Annette Valdez says:

If this goes good, Sega could have a huge peak with everything that’s coming out and the Sonic franchise could have a chance to regain respect to its name again

@TheJadedJames Well, it was broken with Lost World, forces and specially boom again

    • Annette Valdez says:

@TheJadedJames i kinda agree too, what I mean is with so much coming out, the movie was a hit, the Sonic remaster coming in June, the Sonic Prime, plus those two games, it could make the series look like it’s at its peak finally and people can forget about Sonic Forces or 06

    • TheJadedJames says:

I thought after Colors/Generations that Sonic had finally been fixed … lol

@TNA9 Forces barely had any development time, they were too busy working on the Hedgehog Engine 2 (the engine most SEGA games use nowadays) which took 2-3 years off their schedule, and Forces itself had only a year for concept, and a year for gameplay/level design. It also doesn’t help that most of SonicTeam Japan left to help CW and his team make Sonic Mania.

This game has almost 5 years under its belt with everyone involved as well as regular SEGA devs outside SonicTeam, and the engine was already done after Forces.

      *this might be the one*

    • TNA9 says:

I tried to do that but fucked it with Forces so lets hope they learned their lesson for attempt two

Looks interesting so far. Over the years, even though this should’ve been obvious to me from the start, I’ve learned to ignore reception from other people and just share what I think myself.
    Looking forward to this.

THE MUSIC if one thing I know is going to go hard, its the music. It’s really giving a new tone we haven’t had in awhile, and even if the gameplay doesn’t hold up I sure hope the story does!

se ve exelente, espero que se aproveche el potencial del juego

June is going to be a good month for Sonic fans. We’re getting a Sonic Prime trailer AND a Sonic Frontiers trailer? I’m extremely excited.

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I PICTURES IT!!!! The music and mechanics already show that it’s going to be an open world game with stunning graphics! I can’t wait for it to come out!!

  8. Bank21khz says:

It looks beautiful. Sonic gameplay was always meant to be open and free.

    • Daniel says:

Agreed, ya take a character who is as “swift as the wind” and you put him in an open environment, what’s better?

  9. Scott Burns says:

It looks really promising. I’m loving the tone and mood of the teaser. It reminds me of the really old teaser for Sonic 06, the one in the forest/fantasy setting. But I’m also slightly worried if this giant world IS the game. Could suffer from the same issue as Halo Infinite with the lack of level environments/Biomes. But I’m very interested. Possibly hyped even.

    • Scott Burns says:

@The Code Always Wins I never said it wasn’t. Only that it suffers from the lack of environments. Especially in comparison to every preceding game.

    • The Code Always Wins says:

Halo Infinite campaign is pretty awesome… 🥸

    • Chrange says:

It’s not, the website literally goes through the different environments the game has.

  10. Geoffrey Evans says:

The decision to make this game open-world was genius. For years, most levels were floating islands with random loop de loops and obstacles. From the looks of this game’s world design, loops, grind rails, and obstacles actually make sense with the magical and mysterious vibe of the setting. I’m ready for this game.
