These camera comparisons are exactly why I started following you years ago and are the highlight of every year! Thanks dude!

As a professional photographer for over 15 years, let me assure you that anything past around 24 MP is completely useless unless you’re intending to print out a billboard sized photo. As you say, the sensor size, quality of the lens, and processing algorithm are far far more important.

I absolutely love the 10× zoom on the S22 ultra, what it does to sunsets you won’t believe and its perfect for taking pictures of your kids playing or animals that would be impossible otherwise

The fact that he has to show us the differences by zooming into the pixels in most photos shows that both cameras are incredible and there is no wrong choice for the normal consumer.

Those r not normal consumer who spend lot on mobile which r illiterate if u care about camera

@Viva Espana iphone won in most cases. Yet, samsung clearly won in the zooming department

    • TOPSPOT says:

@Erick Recinos yup, and especially with Apple, it’s not sure a few people, but the overwhelming majority. I’ve been hyping up the Island to all my friends, and literally every single one of them just weren’t interested. They’re getting, or would get the regular iphone to save money. Two of em are even getting the 13 instead.

    • Justus Gichuki says:

Samsung photos are definitely more eye catching, and that’s all that matters. I cant recall an instance when I had to choose a better photo based on how sharp it was after “pixel-peeping”

    • Kirankumar Munaga says:

But as a normal customer, are you going to use that level of zoom in your daily life??

    Extremely well done video!!!
Last year I upgraded from an iPhone 6s to the iPhone 13 pro max which was a huge upgrade. I use my phone camera all the time, for me it is the most important tool on a smart phone. I place much more value on image quality than gadgetry modes as most of what I shoot is 4K video. I have to say I was disappointed in Apple that the iPhone 14 that did not include a 10X zoom, a significantly larger imaging sensor, and larger diameter lenses, which would significantly improve all images, especially low light images. I will likely wait for the iPhone 15 to see if any of these features come to fruition.

Great video, just a suggestion… If you’re making a comparison of audio straight from the camera it’s not as useful if you use different scenes for the different phones, it would be better if you change the audio mid scene to make a proper comparison. Cheers!
