Jake Gyllenhaal is one of those guys you never can tell if he joking with you or being serious.
Many Sagittarians like myself is like that. Very mysterious. Could act one way but be a complete other mood. I tend to be jokingly serious at times. Kind of a bad thing cause people deem you as mysterious and hard to read or believe

I enjoyed many of Jake’s movies, but I never really thought he had this much charisma. I agree, one of the absolute best I’ve seen — both on Sean’s end as well as the guest. It ranged from Nardwuar-esque questions from Sean that stunned the guest, to Jake taking over and just being…himself, I guess? Great energy, as you said, hilarious off-the-cuff commentary, and a ton of instant chemistry between the two vaulted this episode onto my “Mount Rushmore” of Hot Ones.
I was laughing so hard about 22 minutes in😂

I cackled with laughter all through the episode. Jake is so fun and talented i was even scared at the begging hoping he wasn’t “normal”. This format bring the true personality from people and I had some sad experiences with a few of my go to actors and actresses.

Favorite part: his heart started racing, he thought he’d die, he looked at the man who caused this… and professed his love. Beautiful.

What I thoroughly enjoyed was hearing the team behind the camera laughing. Everything about this one was great and wholesome with Mr. Gyllenhaal.
I think it’s because he was the white whale of guests and everyone was in shock the whole time that Jake was there.
@NIBN CABCwhen it’s forced it’s annoying as heck, but when you know everyone there is family and friends then it makes it more interesting. Especially when the guest starts getting mad at them for making them go on the show, lol.

I honestly dig the quiet background laughter from the crew. It’s like a relatively believable study audience.
The idea of him ever being on this show was somehow unimaginable before. I’m glad you brought him on, this was thoroughly enjoyable. Also, the Academy should be ashamed that this brilliant actor still doesn’t have an Oscar!
