Glad to see Girafarig getting an evolution, it’s one of the older Pokémon that really deserved one. Hope some other older single stage mons will get evolutions this gen and future gens.

Considering Girafarig has a 455 BST, making me think its evo will have a range of 525-540 BST considering how many regular fully evolved Pokemon are in that range minus a few, such as Ursaluna, Togekiss, Florges and Archeops.

@J F Yes… the seamless wild Pokemon encounters from PLA don’t seem to be the same in Scarlet/Violet. A shame, it was one of my favourite parts of PLA. Maybe it needed to be given up so the larger SV maps could run on the switch?

I’m glad Firagiraf is actually huge like a giraffe. Also I hope trainers will be able to picnic together online like we could in Sword and Shield – it seems like it should be a given, but still. The concept of pokemon eggs just showing up is really cute and cool too – I have a sneaking suspicion it may be a way to gain access to some rare pokemon.

Yeah agreed. Girafarig is 4’11” and has a short neck compared to most giraffes, and there weren’t any other giraffe Pokémon. Glad its evolution actually takes the concept seriously, aside from the symbiosis of both heads.
On the official website it says you CAN picnic with others, it’s the same as sw/sh
I just realized the Girafarig evolution makes it look like it’s wearing a space suit fitting with the whole future theme!

I’m so happy that Girafarig gets to grow up! He’s my favorite Pokémon and he’s finally getting some attention. I already know that Farigiraf is gonna be a fantastic member of my team.
I’m glad that Girafarig evolves and not some regional form. For example, Sirfetch’d is cool, but it only evolves from a Galarian Farfetch’d. Regular Farfetch’d is still useless!

Showing a pokemon’s tera type in the summary screen is a very useful thing that I’m glad they ended up going with, I was worried it would be like hidden power in that we wouldn’t know what it does until you terastalize
I’m glad too. And this can help with people with not resetting, assuming you can’t change their Tera Type.
