You know, we have a tendency to put directors in a box, and I think sometimes, they even put themselves in a box. With Christopher Nolan, you know you’re getting a non-linear, twisty, and complex spectacle, and with Zack Snyder, you know you’re getting a dark, over-the-top action movie. This movie doesn’t look like it’s directed by the same person who did Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim. I appreciate that Edgar Wright is going outside of his usual style and genre, and even though I don’t normally care for horror movies, I’m actually kinda excited for this movie.

@ViciousBane 56 ‘Tenet’ still has merits to be appreciated of. The concept of inversion is really intriguing, but Nolan chose to spoon-feed it because he didn’t trust his audiences enough. The script undermined the concept.

As for Snyder, I’d agree with him on ‘Watchmen’. It was only there that his style served the substance.

    • Peter Frank says:

@John Sidney I only like ‘Watchmen’.

Exactly! Very well said & I agree, I’m not much of a horror fan but this looks very intriguing.

Edgar Wrights style is that his movies are extremely dense, packed with little details that make them infinitely rewatchable. Easily my favorite director.

Don’t forget Zack Snyder and his eternal love for slow motion
