Lenny Kravitz has, in my mind, been among the Gods. You’ve brought him down to speak among mortals. I almost don’t want to watch this.
Lenny! He’d say some of them were hot, but he didn’t flinch at all. Zoe has competition when it comes to hot wings. Love them both!
Lenny is an idol I will never meet him like you have been able to, but when I was a kid my parents took me to see Bon Jovi and Lenny Kravitz played before they came on. He had the metal pickguard and was playing a Flying V… that image never left me, reflective guitar, 100,000 people going mad singing your lyrics… anything before or after that’s day wouldn’t change how I felt at my first gig. I won’t ever play in front of anyone, especially with the criticism that comes with being online

@Sirama He IS a try hard. Yes, he’s “edgy” in a commercial way. The person who gave him credibility was Lisa. Prior to meeting her he was a somewhat mediocre musician. At the time SHE was the edges indie girl and he latched on to her style.

I love artists who are obviously deeply interested in other artists and their craft. When you hear Lenny talk about Herman Leonard, you can tell that he could spend the entire interview just talking about his love for that man’s photography. The reason’s Lenny listed for why he has hope for young musicians, are why he’s so iconic himself; he has a love for the craft and appreciation for the lineage of artists who came before him.
