Liverpool v. Manchester City | PREMIER LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS | 10/16/2022 | NBC Sports

Am a neutral and this game was probably the most exciting game I’ve seen in some time. The ref was in over his head and missed some key calls.
@purple perc you must be a Spurs fan then because you’re whining.
This game was 💩 if this were a spurs match people would be whining
That’s my only real comment for this game as well, being totally neutral. Very spotty reffing all around.
@_ Trust You misunderstood me or are replying to someone else. The OP said he he missed “some” key calls. Im saying he he missed ALL the key calls. Was one of the worst ref performances ever.
One thing you can tell about watching City versus Liverpool, is that these two teams love playing against each other, and these two sets of fans love seeing it.
@Duke on Wheels lol if you think those matches were equal, you know less about football than I thought.
I hope they don’t, but I suspect City is still going to catch you in the end.
@purple perc stats are accurate but it didn’t feel like it. Somehow it was more entertaining. Perhaps the atmosphere
As a lpool fan I can promise you I do not love seeing it. Every time we play them is a traumatic experience no matter the result
It was boring game and one team was so defensive If this was a spurs game they would be whining instead Liverpool fans are celebrating 30% possession on 70% passing 🤦♂️
Man even as a city fan I still loved the game sucks that we lost but I’m glad to see the old Liverpool I want that competition more this season
Becker is insane. Those assists are legendary
@Mohammed Seid no he’s part German
@Mohammed Seid he was probably confused because Becker is a German last name
@Anonymous down bad
@V R Ederson got German genes too?
Those ??
Now THAT is what our defense use to look like. Well done lads.
there were no holes in the defense cuz Trent didn’t play lol
As a Man U fan I believe Robertson being back there helped everyone’s confident he has fighting spirit !
that’s called the Trent effect
Wow all of a sudden english fans like defensive football when it helps their team win 😂
@Irwin Alamillo twice lol. We are Liverpool and we are going to be alright after this slow start
Salah’s goal. He needed it. The team needed it. We all needed it.
Don’t forget about Alison Becker’s beautiful goal kick assist
@Jonathan Rincon I find it funny that people still somehow manage to pull Mane’s name in situations or conversations that have nothing to do with him. Leave that man alone. LCF didn’t want him anymore. He left. Let him enjoy his life in peace.
@Martin sinister Liverpool win the game that is all matter
Was so satisfying seeing that goal go in. Salah is pure talent
I didn’t neededed it but it is welcome.
it’s so refreshing not seeing salah hugging the touchline all game, he was a different animal today🔥🔥
@Luis Mosqueda he didn’t the first if you look at the replay ederson saved it with his fingertips
4 goals in 2 games. That’s what happens when he doesn’t play as a wingback
True, they finally played Salah upfront the past 2 games, and look at the results: 4 goals in 2 matches, a hattrick in 6 minutes and the only goal against an in-form manchester city
@Luis Mosqueda no idea what game you watched.
This is genuinely the best atmosphere we’ve seen in years, absolutely incredible!
The game was a snooze fest if they didn’t have the logo on their shirts people would call them spurs
I watched this game twice, instead of american football. At a point, there was so much tension on the field between players, both coaches going crazy on the sidelines spurring the fans on, the announcer said to people watching listen to this, the fans sung/ cheer their hearts out, such passion.
@Yuri Zsa you’re lying by saying this is entertaining the spurs game had more chances to score than this (all by spurs)
@Chris D zzzz
I like american football as well, but after liverpool game, I watch jets vs packers, and nah I’ll watch liverpool game again.
Yuri football is the King of sports ! Not all the time great but some are incredible ! Welcome in our fans club !
Giants and Jets both won… NFL better
I’ve been saying it for a while now. People seemed to have forgotten the fact that Robertson was injured. He’s such an important factor to the Liverpool defense and it showed today
Tbh it helped that TA wasnt starting
You can see the difference he makes to the team, tsimikas is good but nothing like Robertson
As an Arsenal supporter, I was glad Robertson was injured. I knew he was better than Tsimikas and a straight up baller, unlike that defensive fraud, TAA.
No one really forgot. He played well today but He was literally there vs United, Newcastle, & Napoli. Liverpool just been off the paces at the start of this season.
Jota ‘s pressing ALL GAME was insane. Looked like Mane. With that amount of effort it was inevitable he would blow his hammy out in the 96th minute
but did you see Mane’s chip today though ? 🥶🥶
@Dilliam Bavis Agreed, Mane’s awarness and intelligence were what made him a superstar. The other players in Liverpool with that quality are VVD, Thiago and Bobby.
jota is proof that liverpool should never have bought nunez. waste of money while they had such a class player on the bench
Yes, not to mention how many times Akanji fouled him that wasn’t even called. Scythed down 4 times I think
Yup. Pressing all game, making great runs and, yet again, not receiving the passes he deserves in front of goal (barring the one Salah pass for the header attempt). Silimarly, the Nunez non pass to Salah was astounding.
