Hard to not cry watching this. All the proper Rock legends are up there, Warren Haynes (Allman Bros., Gov’t Mule), SLASH (Guns N Roses) and Billy F. Gibbons (Zz Top), Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros.) They did this right. Amazing. We miss you, Gary Rossington. God Bless you and thank you for all the songs.
well said thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is also a reflection of the widespread influence they had. LA to London with rock, jam band, and country on that stage.
@mark hollandRodgers co-headlined a tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. From 2013 interview with Rodgers: “Playing with Skynyrd was always in the cards. We go back a long way, and I toured with them as a solo artist…. Plus, they introduced me to my wife! So I have them to thank for that!”
@Ian Christopher Yes: “Cody … jumping around like an idiot, ruined the whole performance.” A disrespectful distraction.
@Frances Inez he has no connection to southern Rock. Paul Rodgers is questionable also
Warren Haynes and Chuck Leavell are the hidden gems on that stage.
@Jorge as much as I love Billy and Slash, I doubt either could play Ed’s parts in the same style. Ed was a beast and doesn’t get near the credit he deserves. Steve Gaines is in that same vein too.
@Jakub Polewka I’ve never even seen Chuck before – I only knew that he played the piano solo on “Jessica”. I immediately recognized his playing style when he was soloing on Sweet Home Alabama – his sound is truly unique.
That’s the whole reason I watched last night.
Warren played Ed King’s tasty parts
Exactly
RIP Gary Rossington 1951-2023. Thank you for the great song, Fly high Free Bird brother. Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd!
Great job by all of these performers, Slash is so humble and a true gentleman, played it close to the original, never tried to outshine anyone, and showed pure respect
Take it easy, Slash-Fanboy- Warren Haynes is the best player on that stage by leaps and bounds
@Doris Beeler Lynyrd Skynyrd is Rock n Roll..🤘🏼✌🏼
To rocking roll for a country show
He was playing the guitar 😳 not making a speech you weirdo 😂 something he does REAL WELL!!
Agreed and slash is 1/2 black and like one in a million he was never shaking by racial bs i so respect slash
Slash and Billy Gibbons on the same stage is BLOWING my mind!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’m over here ugly crying ❤
Common
And one of the greatest singers of all time Paul Rodgers.
That’s almost exactly what I was gonna say SLASH AND BILLY GIBBONS HOLY SH*T
Wynonna and LeAnn Rimes rocked it. So good.
I am tossing Rose peddles as I ride my Unicorn.
Damn auto correct. Joe Joe. Wouldn’t let me do it correctly.
Who better to fill in for No No and Cassie.
@T R it really is bro 🙀
@Dusty Croson must be hard to be as perfect as you seem to think you are.
We still need to see Paul Rodgers in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!!!
Damn right!!!
Bad Company & Foreigner !
Oh goddamn he’s not in the rrhf??!!!! Dddddamn that’s wrong on so many levels……..!!!!!!!
I’m almost 58 years old and still dumbfounded as hell that Paul Rodgers and Bad Company aren’t in the Rock Hall. Unbelievable!!
Paul Rogers of Bad Company. What a tribute. Greatness recognizing greatness. Slash, Warren Haynes. Fantastic!!!
IS that Slash?? Cody Johnson is such a great Singer!! So Much Great talent on one stage!
@Joe Jezewski I don’t know but he killed it.
It’s his identical twin brother STASH.
He’s usually too high.
Cody Johnson? Who is she?
Slash is more of a feeling…
would it be anyone else?
Warren Haynes never seems to play a bad note.
