Hard to not cry watching this. All the proper Rock legends are up there, Warren Haynes (Allman Bros., Gov’t Mule), SLASH (Guns N Roses) and Billy F. Gibbons (Zz Top), Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros.) They did this right. Amazing. We miss you, Gary Rossington. God Bless you and thank you for all the songs.

      well said thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Paul Langan says:

It is also a reflection of the widespread influence they had. LA to London with rock, jam band, and country on that stage.

    • Frances Inez says:

@mark hollandRodgers co-headlined a tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. From 2013 interview with Rodgers: “Playing with Skynyrd was always in the cards. We go back a long way, and I toured with them as a solo artist…. Plus, they introduced me to my wife! So I have them to thank for that!”

    • Frances Inez says:

@Ian Christopher Yes: “Cody … jumping around like an idiot, ruined the whole performance.” A disrespectful distraction.

    • mark holland says:

@Frances Inez he has no connection to southern Rock. Paul Rodgers is questionable also

  2. AR B says:

Warren Haynes and Chuck Leavell are the hidden gems on that stage.

@Jorge as much as I love Billy and Slash, I doubt either could play Ed’s parts in the same style. Ed was a beast and doesn’t get near the credit he deserves. Steve Gaines is in that same vein too.

    • AutogolazzoJr says:

@Jakub Polewka I’ve never even seen Chuck before – I only knew that he played the piano solo on “Jessica”. I immediately recognized his playing style when he was soloing on Sweet Home Alabama – his sound is truly unique.

    • Travis Clower says:

That’s the whole reason I watched last night.

    • Jorge says:

Warren played Ed King’s tasty parts

    • Tony Vincent says:

      Exactly

  3. The Buz says:

RIP Gary Rossington 1951-2023. Thank you for the great song, Fly high Free Bird brother. Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd!

Great job by all of these performers, Slash is so humble and a true gentleman, played it close to the original, never tried to outshine anyone, and showed pure respect

  5. Angie Williams says:

Slash and Billy Gibbons on the same stage is BLOWING my mind!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’m over here ugly crying ❤

  6. mountain dew & you says:
