Well after 21 years of no playoffs it only makes sense this would be a rollercoaster of emotions. Good game Astros.

  2. handpicked says:

Saw this in person and it was probably the greatest live sporting moment of my life

  3. Jared Rodas says:

This game was a rollercoaster of emotions😂😂

I almost had a coronary by the 4th inning, and a double heart attack at 2 outs in the bottom of the night. One of the best Astros games I’ve witnessed in a long time

  4. chopkong says:

How about some love for the 2 rookies in the 9th, Hensley and Pena, both battling with 2 strikes to get on base for Alvarez’s magic. The future is very bright for the Astros!

    • chopkong says:

@stoneypotterson Pena has had issues with the right-handed slider all year. A few weeks ago, he finally figured it out and has actually improved lately against the slider. If he can learn to be more patient in working the pitch count, he would be dangerous.

    • stoneypotterson says:

Pena picked a great time to get a hit after struggling all game.

@Abigail Teh Total team effort, Yuli going 3/4, Bregman being Bregman, Chas and Vazquez making contributions, total team effort! I forgot to mention another rookie, Hunter Brown, being shut down. There’s so much young talent on this team that I believe the Astros will be good for a long time.

    • chopkong says:

@Ron S. I could see the look in Alvarez’s eyes. This was an opportunity to create his legend. After his first swing/foul ball, I told my brother, “…Oh, Alvarez is swinging for the fences…he better not hang one over the plate or it’s going yard…”. Sure enough, he rammed it right down the center of the plate…the rest if legend!

    • Abigail Teh says:

Also our relief pitchers for holding down the Mariners

  5. Scott Waldo says:

Best game I’ve ever watched besides game 5 of 2017 WS and game 6 of 2019 ALCS. GO STROS!!!!!!! AIR YORDON!!!!!!!!

  6. Joe Diaz says:

What a SUBLIME comeback by the Astros!! Loved it! Our pitching has being carrying our under-performing offense basically all season long and it’s about TIME our offense came alive at just the right time with our pitchers faltering in this game! Mariners got a taste of their own “comeback medicine” of their own this time, eh? Yordan is a BEAST and I’m so glad we have him on our team! And that poor kid in stands crying when the Astros were losing and then to see him so happy after that Yordan blast was so touching and heartwarming to watch! WHAT A GAME – GO ‘STROS!!!✊😆🤩

    • Joe Diaz says:

@Tom Hernandez Well I got 36 likes compared to your one at this writing so the majority seems to agree with me on this thread. And yes, the offense hasn’t performed fully to their potential this season although they did have some good games they weren’t very consistent and the pitching had carried us in those games in which the offense was inept.

    • James Roberts says:

Verlander has been good all season..but he had an off day..we have a potent lineup to pick up the slack

    • Chris M says:

Our pitching this game was good , only Verlander stunk it up . Our bullpen gave up 1 run.

  7. alex cantu says:

I can feel it… it feels like 2017. This team has that magic.

  8. rodreego says:

THIS TEAM MAN!!!! ❤ JV CARRIED US ALL SEASON AND WE REPAY HIM IN THE POSTSEASON 🤘🏼

  9. Cameron Bailey says:

Omg I did not think we were gonna pull that off. Thank God for Yordan!

  10. Felix Garza says:

The first lead of the game and it’s for the win!!! I just witnessed the unbelievable!!!
