the animation at the start is unexpected yet greatly appreciated

absolutely can’t wait for this game

  2. Vailskibum94 says:

That brief clip at the beginning almost felt like movie quality

  3. Po Po says:

This is how I imagine living in the Mario world, everyone is friendly with each other until there are sports involved

  4. Ashlin Grey says:

This is canonically how all Mario sports games get started. Everyone’s chilling out between main games, when someone’s hit in the face by a sports ball or Lakitu drops a kart on somebody and then it’s on

  5. G2P Rose says:

The ball interrupting a beautiful moment of Mario and Peach, is perfect for the movie

  6. crazydaffy67 says:

I like how Mario and peach are just chilling out and then all of a sudden a soccer ball hits Mario and boom “showtime” moment

  7. Barbara Versus the world says:

The idea that Mario and Peach like to lay on the grass and look at clouds together warms my heart. We don’t see enough moments like this between the two in the Mario series. I know they like to keep their relationship kinda ambiguous. But it’s nice seeing them be even slightly romantic towards one another.

Edit – Darn. almost 500 likes. It’s my birthday Wednesday so some birthday shoutouts would be pretty cool.

  8. Ron Reed says:

I love Luigi’s dance at the end. I’m glad they still gave everyone personalities just like the old game

  9. Gabasonian says:

    0:09 Love Wario’s pose

  10. SPP says:

That beginning looked movie quality. Hopefully we’ll see more of it in cutscenes or something.

    • Blue Thundershell says:

They should use that type of animation for the Mario movie maybe

    • Dia says:

It’s Next Level Games. Expect nothing less from these guys.

    • Josh JO says:

@Tessa Froese But that doesn’t mean it’s not part of the game tho. Could still be in the game as a cutscene or title sequence.

    • Tessa Froese says:

@Josh JO 0:02 It literally said in the commercial “Not actual gameplay footage”.

    • Derple says:

@Kostas Polyzos still wish it was in the game. it might it, might not. Still want it in regardless, no reason it should be on just a YouTube video. It’s too incredible!
